This 2017 HSV GTS-R W1 is finished in Sting Red over a black interior and shows just 9,683 kilometres. It is powered by the supercharged 6.2 litre LS9 V8 paired with a six speed manual transmission. As the final and most extreme road car produced by HSV, the W1 represents the ultimate expression of Australian-built performance.

Released in 2017 as a farewell to local HSV production, the GTS-R W1 was limited to 300 examples and offered exclusively to the Australian market. The centrepiece was the LS9 engine sourced from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, combined with W1-specific suspension, extensive use of lightweight components and unique exterior and interior detailing. From launch, the W1 was recognised as one of the most significant performance cars ever produced in Australia.

Beyond its headline specifications, the W1 occupies a unique position in modern performance car history. It stands as the final, no-compromise statement from an Australian manufacturer, developed without the usual cost constraints and engineered to rival contemporary European and American super sedans. As the last locally built HSV flagship, the W1 has become a cultural and mechanical milestone, with values and collector interest reflecting its status as the closing chapter of Australia’s performance car era.

This example has had one owner from new and was purchased new by the current custodian. It has been driven sparingly throughout its life, reflected in both its low kilometres and overall condition. The car remains entirely standard, with no modifications or alterations made.

Servicing has been carried out through the Holden dealer network, with the most recent recorded service completed by Kevin Dennis Holden in 2023 at 6,370 kilometres. A service will be carried out prior to the sale of the vehicle. The car is currently fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. The vehicle will also be accompanied by the original tyres which have had approximately 1,000km of road use.

The exterior presents in excellent condition, with the Sting Red paintwork showing no notable marks, stone chips or blemishes. Bodywork, wheels and exterior trim all present as expected of a carefully maintained, low kilometre example. Inside, the cabin remains in excellent condition. The seats, Alcantara trim and interior surfaces show no notable wear, and all controls and systems are reported to function as intended. The overall presentation reflects minimal use and careful ownership.

The car is accompanied by its original books, manuals and service book.
