This 2016 Land Rover Defender 110 is an Australian-delivered, one-owner car which has been kept in good condition since new. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.2-litre diesel engine which develops 90kW and 360Nm. This power is fed through all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission with dual-range gearing. The odometer of this car currently displays 115,000km. Born out of the ashes of the Second World War as Britain was finding its feet in an agricultural future, the Land Rover Defender’s history is long and storied. The iconic off-roader was first introduced simply as the Land Rover Series before changing names to the Land Rover Defender in 1983. It combined a utilitarian nature with solid off-road ability, a reputation which has stood with the company throughout its history. The Defender’s reputation for providing go-anywhere capabilities, a simple powertrain, and unique looks are still realised today.

The model was cancelled after a continuous 67-year run, in 2016. For better or worse, it is now replaced by an updated and tech-infused successor which uses an aluminium monocoque body. Late-build examples like this car are expected to become investment pieces in the future. This Defender is painted in white with black highlights to the roof, chequer plates, and wheel guards. It also features a black interior. There are no major aftermarket modifications made to this car, though it does specify a draw in the boot for user-friendly convenience. This can be easily removed. The car rides on a set of 16-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler all terrain tyres.

Built new by Land Rover in Solihull, England in early 2016 and delivered by Southern Classic Cars in March 2016, this car has had just one owner since new. While in warranty the vehicle was maintained by the delivering dealership, though once the coverage ended servicing was carried out by Nowra Diesel Tech. The last service was completed in late July 2022. The owner describes good mechanical condition aside from a slight oil weep on the swivel hub. The exterior presentation of this Defender shows in decent order. White paintwork shows in good condition on panels, though there are points of paint flaking around the windscreen hinges and bubbling on the left-hand side mirror arm. Stone chips are identified below the windscreen, while a small scratch is found on the bonnet and rear door jamb. Instances of surface rust are seen around the tow bar, rear step, hinges, and various external bolts.

Paint is flaking from the black Land Rover bull bar. Roof paint has been repaired, while the rear door has been replaced due to a parking ding. The wheels display minor scuff marks. Inside the cabin this car presents cleanly throughout. The fabric upholstery shows no undue wear and tear and still retains a good shape, while the plastics of the dash and door cards are undamaged. The vinyl seat bases of the front seats have scuffed with use, a common Defender issue. The steering wheel hub does show considerable scratch damage and some scuffing is seen on the underside of the dash. All accompanying documentation will be supplied with this car.
