This 2015 Ducati Panigale R is a two-owner example superbike, 1 of 500 globally, which presents in immaculate condition and comes with all books and accessories. It is powered by a 1198cc two-cylinder engine which outputs 150kW (202hp) at the rear wheel. This power is sent through a six-speed sequential manual gearbox. The odometer of this bike currently displays 8146km. The Ducati 1199 Panigale was unveiled at the 2011 Milan Motorbike Show and immediately made waves due to manufacturer claims it was the most powerful production two-cylinder motorcycle at the time. With a dry weight of 164kg Ducati said the 1199 Panigale also had the highest power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratios of any road-going bike.

It popularised electronically adjustable suspension for motor bikes, with damping adjusted electronically and pre-load configurations remaining manually adjustable. In 2013 Ducati introduced the 1199 Panigale R version which acted as the World Superbike Championship homologation special. It used lightened engine internals such as titanium connecting rods and extensive carbon-fibre external panels to reduce weight. In its day, the 1199 Panigale R was said to be the closest a road bike could get to a superbike. While it’s reportedly a tricky thing to ride, it boasts phenomenal power, class-leading rider aids and looks exquisite.

Painted in classic Ducati red and complete with white striping, this 1199 Panigale R cuts a mean figure whether on a bike stand or on the move. There is carbon componentry seen on the exterior and a black-upholstered seat. It also shows Ducati Corse script and gold Ohlins dampers. It rides on a set of 17-inch Marchesini wheels wrapped in Pirelli Supercorsa tyres. Manufactured new in Bologna, Italy and complied in Australia in September 2015, this Ducati shows a documented history.

It is a two-owner bike since new. The bike sees little use – as shown through its low odometer reading – so it has only had one service since new. The next is due at the 12,000km mark. In any case, the seller notes there are no faults with the bike and it is unmodified. On the exterior there are no signs of damage and this bike presents in remarkable order.

Given its minimal use, the red paintwork shows in great order with nice reflections in the sunlight, while no damage or flaking is seen on stickers. Some minor heat discolouration is seen on the exhaust, as expected with use. There are no marks of wear or tear on the seat and hand grips. Carbon-fibre elements all show in good condition with no scratches or tarnishing. This bike will be sold with all accompanying documentation, a cover, and a bike stand.
