This 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series is a collector-grade investment piece that boasts a low odometer and the AMG Aerodynamics and Track packages. It’s powered by a last-of-the-line naturally-aspirated 6.2-litre V8 engine that produces 380kW and 620Nm. This power is routed to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently shows 9,156km. The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is already a stonking-great performance car. With Affalterbach’s finest engine under its bonnet, the W204-generation C63 AMG has already etched itself into the AMG Hall of Fame.

However, AMG didn’t stop there. The Black Series builds upon the greatness of the C63 AMG by turning it into a track-ready weapon capable of frightening even the Porsche 911. Think of it as a stripped-out version that removes all unnecessary weight, while turning the aerodynamics and driveline up to 11. It pinches plenty of SLS AMG tech such as its forged rods and pistons, a lightweight crankshaft, and an even stronger version of AMG’s multi-clutch transmission. The body features pumped guards for a wider track and enhanced grip, the brakes are bigger, and adjustable coilover suspension ensures savage cornering ability. Though it could be had in an unassuming specification without the AMG Aerodynamics pack, versions with the kit are now among the most desirable track-day specials on the used market.

Finished in Fire Opal red and upholstered with a black leather interior, this C63 AMG Black Series continues in unmodified specification. The car is specified with the AMG Aerodynamics pack (including a fixed rear wing and front carbon-fibre canards) and the Track Pack (full bucket seats, rear-axle trans cooler). The interior features suede trim inserts, red seat belts and red stitching. The car runs on its original set of 19-inch alloys which hide a set of red brake calipers. The wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres. Manufactured in Germany and delivered new to Australia as one of just 42 locally-delivered examples, this AMG Black Series has been pampered since new.

It displays less than 10,000km on its odometer. The car was delivered new to 3 Point Mercedes-Benz in Victoria and has since passed on to just one previous owner. The car is believed to be one of only eight in Australia with both the Track and Aerodynamics packs fitted from new. This example also boasts a complete Mercedes-Benz dealer service history that has been carried out every 12 months on average despite the mileage. The visual condition of this C63 AMG Black Series is immaculate, as you’d expect from a car with such low kilometres. The Fire Opal red paintwork shows no signs of scratching or damage and strong reflections are seen in the finish.

Most portions of the carbon-fibre exterior trim displays in perfect condition, though one small chip is noted on the right-hand side of the front splitter. All four wheels appear in as-new condition with no signs of damage. Inside, this car appears in perfect order. There are no scuffs or stains on the leather seats which continue to hold their original bucketed shape. No points of wear and tear are noted on the Alcantara trim pieces surrounding the steering wheel and gear selector. No points of scuffing or stains are seen on the carpets or floor mats.
