This 2011 Ford FPV GT is an Australian performance hero car that’s been garaged its whole life and has had just two owners since new. Under its bonnet sits a supercharged 5.0-litre ‘Miami’ V8 which outputs 335kW and 570Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently displays 95,707km. The Ford Performance Vehicles GT might have a completely different name to the original Ford Falcon GT-HO Phase III, but with a colourway reminiscent of old and a stonking-great V8 under the bonnet, there is little mistaking this modern-day Australian icon. Throughout the 2000s Ford’s FPV subsidiary took the regular Falcon and transformed it into a four-door performance car to rival the likes of HSV GTS.

The 2011 FPV GT used a new 5.0-litre ‘Miami’ V8 based on the Mustang’s Coyote engine, but employed a supercharger to extract extreme performance. Ford rarely quoted performance times for FPV vehicles, but testing by Australian media found the FPV GT sprints from zero to 100km/h in under five seconds. With linear power delivery and a crackling exhaust note on the overrun, the FPV GT’s driving experience still holds up today. Painted in white and featuring a black leather-upholstered interior, this GT’s specification turns heads. On the outside it sports a set of gold “hockey stick” stripes, distinctive quad exhaust pipes and shows of replaced “Panda Eyes” on the front end.

There are no aftermarket modifications. The car rides on a set of original 19-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers and Hifly tyres. This FPV GT was manufactured in Broadmeadows, Victoria in April 2011 and delivered new within its home state. It is now a two-owner car after being purchased by the seller 12 years ago with 9000km on the odometer. Servicing has been completed through Ford and the seller’s local mechanic. The last service was performed at the 90,000km mark, which addressed a vacuum hose near the supercharger.

The seller notes the brake rotors require machining. Its bonnet, air intake, power steering, headlights, left-front quarter panel, radiator and transmission cooler were replaced after a minor collision in September 2023. On the outside this FPV GT presents in great order for a vehicle of its age and odometer. The white paintwork reflects light in the sun with no obvious stone chips or scratching. The gold stripes are undamaged. Some clearcoat is missing from the Brembo calipers and the wheels show some light kerb rash.

Inside, this FPV GT shows in fair order. The leather seats appear in good shape with minimal sag (a common occurrence on Falcons), but the leather has developed a reflective sheen. There is damage to the driver’s side seat controls and various scuffing around lower trim portions. Carpeting, floor mats, and the headlining appears without noticeable stains or scuff marks. This car will come with original documentation and two keys. The personalised plates are not included.
