This 2010 Aston Martin DB9 is an Australian-delivered, two-owner car which has been kept in excellent mechanical shape since new. Under the long bonnet sits a naturally-aspirated 5.9-litre V12 engine which produces 351kW/600Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed paddle-shift automatic gearbox. The odometer of this car currently shows 69,180km. Over the last two decades there have been few other grand tourers as notable as the Aston Martin DB9. Built over a span of 14 years, the gorgeous long-nose design has transcended automotive circles to be appreciated as simply good design, while subtle improvements ensured the model kept pace with a changing market.

With styling from Henrik Fisker, Ian Callum, and Marek Reichman, the DB9 went on to become arguably the most important Aston Martin in the brand’s history. It catapulted the brand’s reputation to new highs after a lacklustre response to the previous DB7, while an all-new factory helped give Aston Martin the bandwidth to introduce a new level of luxury to its cars. The Aston Martin DB9 has trudged through a series of depreciation troughs to now come out on the other side as an appreciating modern classic. Finished in a silver metallic on the outside and paired with a black leather-upholstered interior, this DB9’s specification is understated and suits its gorgeous design. Being a 2010 build it’s a facelift example which benefits from exterior tweaks to lights and front-end styling. From new, the owner states the vehicle was been fitted with a bi-modal sports exhaust and it was also specified with the jewel instrumentation package.

It sits on a set of original 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in spec Bridgestone Potenza tyres. Manufactured new by Aston Martin at its Gaydon, England facility in November 2009, this DB9 was delivered new through Aston Martin Melbourne in June 2010. It has since passed on to the current Perth-based owner in 2022, making two custodians overall. All servicing has been performed at Aston service centres and this car retains a balance of extended warranty (which can be extended again). The current owner has recently replaced the driver’s seat belt and serviced the automatic transmission. Exterior presentation of this vehicle is a highlight, with ceramic coated paintwork displaying in excellent condition.

True reflections are seen in the finish and the metallic effect still shines through strongly. No marks of stone chip damage or scuff marking are identified on bodywork. All four wheels display without notable kerb rash, though could benefit from a thorough clean. The Bridgestone tyres are near new. Interior-wise, this DB9’s presentation has been well managed. Leather upholstery displays without major wear and tear, though seat shape has deformed slightly with creased bolsters and seat bases.

There’s a small nick in the leather on the driver’s side of the centre console, plus scratches to the passenger-side door card leather. Controls and instrumentation appear without notable wear and tear. This car will come with the original tool kit, books, and umbrella.
