This 2008 Mercedes-Benz SL350 (R230) is a two-owner car with a host of tidy options and a documented service history. It is powered by naturally-aspirated 3.5-litre V6 engine that produces 232kW and 360Nm. Drive is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. The odometer of this car states 101,308km. The SL-Class epitomises what it means to be a Mercedes-Benz. The brand has long prided itself on the ability to blend sportiness and luxuriousness, and the SL is a prime example of these attributes.

The nameplate is one of the longest-running in the marque’s existence and first used with the legendary 300SL in the 1950s. The R230-generation SL was introduced in 2001 and remained in production for a full decade. It was the first Mercedes-Benz SL to come with a folding hard-top roof and is renowned for having a particularly sturdy body composure, meaning it has next to no scuttle shake. Later facelift versions are among the most desirable thanks to aggressive, angular styling tweaks and more power through a range of engine options. The R230 SL has depreciated in price over the last decade, making cars like this a great opportunity to snap up a desirable modern classic roadster. Painted in Obsidian Black metallic and featuring a black leather interior, this car’s colour combination screams classic, suave SL.

There are no aftermarket modifications with this car, but it was well-optioned from factory. Cost options include: panoramic glass roof, memory seats with heating/ventilation/massage, Air Scarf, keyless entry, and Harman Kardon premium audio. It rides on a set of 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Zeta tyres. This car was manufactured in 2008 and complied/delivered new in Sydney. It now resides in Melbourne with its second owner. The car’s maintenance history began with Mercedes-Benz dealerships before moving to marque specialists such as Sharp Performance in South Melbourne.

The hard-top roof has recently been serviced. The exterior displays in great condition overall. The Obsidian Black metallic still holds a deep richness to its finish and no obvious points of swirl marks or scratches are identified. Chrome trims on the exterior also present in great condition with a bright shine. All four wheels are clean of dust and grime, plus no kerb rash damage is observed. Inside, this SL350 presents in brilliant order.

No marks of wear and tear are noted on the two leather seats, while the contrasting woodgrain inlays haven’t weathered with age. The silver kick plates on the driver’s and passenger’s side show some scuffs and scratches, as expected with age. However, no obvious stains or fraying is noted on the carpeting or floor mats. This car will comes with all accompanying documentation and two keys. The tyres are near new. As per Trading Garage Terms and Conditions, although Trading Garage has completed the following checks, bidders must satisfy themselves to the accuracy of the description and do any research they feel necessary before bidding.
