This 2006 Porsche (997) 911 Carrera S is a pristine example of Porsche’s last analogue 911 and it shows a full service history with marque specialists. Under its rear decklid sits a naturally-aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six-cylinder engine that develops 261kW and 400Nm. Outputs are sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The odometer of this 911 currently shows 87,800km. In 2004 Porsche revealed the 997-generation 911 as a wholesale revision of the previous 996. Most mechanical changes were subtle under-the-skin tweaks – Porsche persisted with the contentious water-cooled engine and made modest power bumps over the 996 predecessor.

But, the styling changed markedly with new headlights and tail-lights, larger wheels, rounded body panels with accentuated front wheel guards, and an all-round sleeker look. The 997-generation also reintroduced the Carrera S variant, adding a larger 3.8-litre engine with more power, lowered sports suspension with adjustable dampers, upgraded brakes, and a sports exhaust. Though Porsche’s famed “PDK” transmission made its debut on the facelifted 997, earlier examples retained a five-speed automatic transmission option. As such, manual examples are arguably the better sports-car buy and values are tipped to rise for what is likely the last analogue Porsche 911 generation. Finished in Arctic Silver metallic on the outside and featuring a black leather-upholstered interior, this Carrera S is a head-turner whether it’s static or on the move.

There are no notable aftermarket modifications made to the car, though it was fitted with Sport Chrono, tyre pressure monitoring, rear parking assist, a sunroof, extended leather trim, adaptive sports seats, three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and coloured Porsche crest centre caps. The car sits on a set of 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. This Carrera S left Porsche’s Zuffenhausen (Germany) production line on October 12, 2005 and was delivered through Porsche Centre Melbourne in December 2005. It is an MY06-plated car. Three people have owned the car overall, but the seller has held the vehicle the longest – since 2012. As a 40-year member of Porsche Club Victoria, this 911’s current owner has pampered the car and it is regularly serviced to requirement.

Servicing has been performed by official Porsche centres and specialist Porsche independents. It was last serviced by Jocaro Motors in October 2023. The exterior condition of this 911 is a highlight, especially for the car’s age. Arctic Silver paintwork glistens beautifully in the sunlight, while no faults or scratches can be seen in the finish. Minor marks of stone chipping are noted on the side mirrors and front end (including the bonnet). The rear wheel arches are protected by plastic film that has yellowed with age.

No instances of kerb rash are seen on any of the four wheels. On the inside, this car’s black leather interior continues to show in great condition and minimal wear and tear is seen. The seats appear without major creasing and no scuffs or tears are seen in the leather. Light sagging is noted on the driver’s side leather seat insert. Scrape marks can be seen on the driver’s side door sill and weathering is seen on the air-conditioning controls. The carpets and headlining continue to display in good condition.

All accompanying documentation and service booklets will be supplied in addition to two keys. As per Trading Garage’s Terms and Conditions, although Trading Garage has completed the following checks bidders must satisfy themselves with the accuracy of the description and do any research they feel necessary before bidding. All listings are sold in Australian dollars. This vehicle is registered in VIC until 8th February 2025. There are no security interests registered on the PPSR against the serial number and is not recorded as written off or stolen.
