The SLK 55 AMG was the flagship of the R171 SLK range, offering serious performance in a compact two-seater package. Mechanically, the SLK 55 AMG drives beautifully and is reported to be in excellent running condition. The only noted issue is an ESP/tyre pressure warning light, which appeared after a tyre deflated several months ago. According to the servicing mechanic, the issue is due to a faulty sensor — a known and common quirk of this model — and does not affect performance or drivability. The 5.4-litre V8 starts easily, pulls strongly, and delivers the trademark AMG soundtrack.

The exterior presents in very good condition overall, with the paintwork and body showing minimal wear for its age. There is some light scraping underneath the front bumper consistent with the car’s low ride height and minor surface scratches that can be polished out.
