This 2005 Maserati Quattroporte is a low-odometer, two-owner car which is backed by a full Maserati service history. Under its bonnet sits a naturally-aspirated 4.2-litre V8 that develops 294kW (395hp). This power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed DuoSelect automatic transmission. The odometer now shows 32,768km. The Maserati Quattroporte is the Italian marque’s flagship sports sedan. Maserati’s Quattroporte nameplate was first introduced in the 1960s, but the fifth-generation elevated the model’s significance in the early 2000s with attractive Pininfarina design and a Ferrari-derived V8 engine.

The fifth generation was first unveiled in 2003 to rival business express sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8. A key difference which continues to see Maseratis trade above their contemporary peers is an ingrained sense of passion and heritage. It was first and foremost a driver’s car. Continuous improvements to ride and handling throughout the fifth-generation’s life ensured the later cars are more desirable. Well-maintained examples continue to be brilliant cars to drive, especially compared to alternatives such as the luxury-leaning Audi A8 and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Painted in Grigio Palla on the outside and complete with a cream leather interior, this Quattroporte’s sophisticated colour combination suits its era.

This is a pre-facelift car which features pinched front and rear ends. Inside the cabin it features slate blue contrasting leather panels and woodgrain trim inlays are seen highlighting the interior. There are no aftermarket modifications made to this car. It rides on a set of 18-inch silver alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres. This Maserati was manufactured in Italy and Australian-delivered through Maserati Brisbane in January 2005. It is now understood to be a two-owner car.

All servicing has been completed through official Maserati service centres, with the most recent servicing performed by Zagame Maserati. The seller notes there are no current faults and it runs in good working order. The common issue of buttons and controls becoming sticky has been rectified by BM Leather creations. Exterior condition for this Quattroporte presents very well. The light grey paintwork reflects nicely in the light and no endemic paint issues are obvious. There are minor stone chips on the front end, as expected with use.

The side mirrors appear with some light scratches and the door edges have subtle chips. Points of kerb rash are seen on the wheels. Inside the cabin this car has been well preserved over the last 19 years. Woodgrain trim pieces, the leather dashboard, and various switchgear all present without notable wear and tear. The cream leather is unmarked and the seats show no sag or depressions. Door cards and carpeting show next to no stains or scuffs.

Elements such as the car’s infotainment system continue to function as normal. The seller notes the headlining is beginning to sag in the rear. All accompanying documentation including service receipts and original manuals will be supplied with this car, in addition to two sets of keys.
