This 2001 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG is a stock example of AMG’s understated super-sedan, finished in silver over a two-tone leather interior. It is powered by a 5.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 paired with an automatic transmission driving the rear wheels, and the odometer displays 179,227 kilometres.

Based on the W210-generation E-Class, the E55 AMG represents one of the defining performance sedans of its era. Hand-finished by AMG and equipped with a larger-capacity V8 along with upgraded suspension and braking components, the E55 combined discreet styling with serious performance and everyday usability. These models have since become modern classics among Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts.

This example has been owned by the current custodian since 2021 with servicing has been carried out by Mercedes-Benz specialist Kipler Motors in Moorabbin.

Mechanically, the vehicle is reported to be in good working order with no known faults or warning lights. The seller advises that the instrument cluster was replaced at 76,420 kilometres due to water ingress affecting the original unit.

The exterior is described as presenting in excellent condition. During the current ownership the vehicle has been resprayed to improve the overall presentation, and the paintwork and body panels are said to be in very strong condition.

Inside, the interior remains largely original and presents well for its age and mileage. Seats, carpets, wood trim and switchgear are reported to be in good condition overall. The only noted issue is slight sagging to the rear section of the headliner.
