This 2001 BMW (E46) M3 is a factory manual, Australian-delivered car that has been enhanced with choice M3 CSL additions. Under its bonnet lies a naturally-aspirated 3.2-litre inline-six-cylinder engine that produces 252kW and 365Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The odometer of the car currently shows 195,779km. The E46-generation BMW M3 was introduced in late 2000 and remained in production until 2006. It largely followed the recipe set by its predecessor – a coupe body style, power supplied by a big naturally-aspirated six-cylinder engine, and a rear-wheel-drive layout. However, considerable improvements were made to ensure it was the best M3 to date.

Effectively, its development was all-new with respect to the earlier E36 M3. Key to the E46 M3 is the legendary ‘S54’ naturally-aspirated six-cylinder engine – built to rev upwards of 8000rpm and paired with a beguiling soundtrack originating from the engine itself, right down to the exhaust pipes. Buyers were offered the choice of a six-speed manual or a sequential-manual automatic, with the former proving to be the most desirable combination in today’s age. With iconic looks and perfect proportions, the E46 M3 has earned its high status in the automotive world and clean examples continue to trend upwards in price. Painted in Titanium Silver metallic and paired with a black leather-upholstered interior, this specific M3 combination will find favour with all enthusiasts. The car was optioned with a sunroof and Harman Kardon sound from factory. Previous owners have upgraded the car with a CSL boot lid, a CSL rear diffuser, AC Schnitzer alloy pedals, Eibach Pro suspension, Alcantara for the steering wheel, handbrake and gear shift boot, as well as a ZHP-spec gear shifter.

Carbon-fibre-effect interior trim rounds off the modifications. The car sits on a set of genuine 19-inch CSL wheels which come wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres. This car was manufactured in Germany in July 2001 and delivered through Auto Classic BMW in Perth in September 2001. It is reportedly a three-owner car since new, passing through states such as Queensland and Adelaide. Service records show the car has been maintained on time by either BMW dealerships or marque professionals. The seller states the alternator and battery recently replaced using Bosch and Varta components and new OEM floor mats installed. Seller also states that the subframe has been professionally reinforced and upgraded with poly bushings, along with the rod bearings.

It is described as being in excellent mechanical condition. Visually, the exterior presentation of this car is immaculate. The Titan Silver paintwork gleans beautifully in the light and no obvious paint damage or imperfection can be seen on the panels. The front bumper has been resprayed to correct stone chips and scrape damage. All four CSL wheels appear without kerb rash or scratch damage. Inside, this M3 has been well maintained. The black leather covering the seats shows no points of scuff damage or scratching, while there are very few crease marks on the bolsters.

The Alcantara touch points and carbon-fibre trim remains in good condition without wear. All carpeting and floor mats present in clean condition. No major wear and tear is identified on the dashboard or centre console. This car will come with all original books, both keys, and a comprehensive service documentation. As per Trading Garage Terms and Conditions, although Trading Garage has completed the following checks, bidders must satisfy themselves to the accuracy of the description and do any research they feel necessary before bidding.
