This 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR features a turbocharged 2.0 litre 4G63 inline-four, paired with a five-speed manual transmission driving all four wheels. Featuring new BC suspension, refurbished wheels, replacement brakes and an upgraded Alpine audio system, accompanied by import documentation and receipts for recent work. The odometer currently indicates 85,448 km indicated.
Introduced in January 1999, the Evolution VI continued Mitsubishi’s development of its rally-derived performance sedan. Changes over the preceding Evolution V included revised aerodynamics, improved engine cooling and suspension refinements, with the model developed around the requirements of the 1999 World Rally Championship regulations.
Finished in silver, this example features the Evolution VI’s vented bonnet, widened guards, side skirts and prominent rear wing. Refurbished OZ Racing multi-spoke wheels sit over red Brembo brake callipers and wear new Bridgestone Potenza tyres. The interior combines black and blue sports seats with blue-faced instruments, a Momo steering wheel and a replacement OEM gear knob. An Alpine head unit provides navigation, Apple CarPlay and hands-free connectivity, paired with Alpine speakers. Sound deadening has been installed in the doors and boot to improve audio quality and reduce road noise.
The seller has owned the vehicle for approximately six months following its importation from Japan. Its two Australian ownership registrations have been within the same household, initially in the seller’s wife’s name before being transferred to the seller. The number of previous Japanese owners is unknown. No earlier service history accompanied the import, although a new service book has been started and maintained during the current ownership.
The seller, a mechanic and aircraft engineer by trade, carried out a full service on 20 June 2026 at 84,678 km. This included Motul fluids and Blitz oil and air filters. Recent refurbishment involved removing the suspension, sanding and repainting the wheel wells, and installing new BC-RS suspension with rubber top mounts selected for comfort. Front and rear brake pads and rotors have been replaced, and the braking system flushed and bled. The wheels have also been fully refurbished, with new tyres and OEM wheel nuts fitted. The seller reports that receipts for the recent work total close to $10,000.
The seller reports no known current mechanical faults, warning lights or required work, describing the car as driving well with all equipment functioning correctly. Disclosed exterior imperfections include minor cracks in the front and rear bumpers and a small scratch on the bonnet. Previous paint touch-ups are evident, although the seller reports no known accident history. Wear is noted on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat, with the remainder of the interior described as being in excellent condition.
Included with the sale are the newly established service book, receipts, import documentation and the personalised V13VO number plates.
