This 1998 Nissan Skyline (R34) GT-T is a highly original and well-maintained example of Nissan’s iconic turbocharged coupe, finished in factory QM1 White with a cloth interior. It is powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged RB25DET NEO inline-six engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows 193,879km.

The R34 generation of Skyline marked the final evolution of Nissan’s revered RB-series coupes before the switch to the VQ engine family. Introduced in 1998, the R34 GT-T delivered the same aggressive styling as the GTR but in a lighter, rear-wheel-drive configuration, making it one of the most rewarding driver’s cars of its era. The RB25DET NEO engine featured variable valve timing, higher compression, and a refined turbocharger design, offering sharper response and improved reliability over earlier RB units. While the GTR has long occupied the spotlight, well-preserved GT-T models like this are becoming increasingly sought after for their authentic driving feel and balanced dynamics.

This example was imported to Australia by its first owner and complied in 2015 before being purchased by the current owner in August 2020. Since then, it has been carefully maintained and upgraded by respected workshops across Melbourne to bring the car to its current standard.

During the early stages of current ownership, the car was serviced and refreshed by Edgework Motorworks in Sunshine, where the timing belt, water pump, gaskets, moon seals, fan belt, oil filter, and fuel filter were replaced, along with other wear items. In 2022, a brand-new genuine Nissan transmission was installed, paired with a new clutch and flywheel. At the same time, the fuel system was upgraded with a Walbro 525 pump and a complete exhaust system featuring an Advance Auto downpipe, Venom high-flow catalytic converter, and Blitz Nur-Spec RX cat-back exhaust. More recently, in July 2025, the car received new Shockworks coilovers and ZSS control arms to replace the ageing factory Bilstein suspension. Servicing since then has been carried out between V-Spec Performance in Blackburn, Racepace Motorsports in Bayswater, and Kansai Motorsports in Clayton.

Mechanically, the car is described as turn-key and reliable, free from oil leaks or overheating. The air conditioning functions well, and the engine delivers smooth, consistent performance.

The exterior presents in good order, with straight panels and no rust visible — as supported by undercarriage inspection photos. Some light paint peeling is noted on the side mirrors and bumper consistent with age. The cloth interior is clean and tidy, with no tears or staining.

This GT-T is fitted with a factory Altia body kit verified through Japanese chassis records, confirming it as a genuine factory option rather than a retrofit. It also features a rare factory sunroof — an uncommon specification on manual coupe models. Additional features include a Mongoose alarm and immobiliser with tracker, a BlackVue 770 dashcam and rear camera, and a MoTeC M84 ECU inherited from the previous owner.

The vehicle will be supplied with two keys, service history, original jack/tool set and spare wheel.
