This 1996 JBA Tourer is a Jaguar SS100 style replica built by JBA, Jones, Barlow and Ashley, and is presented in teal with cream trim. The accompanying information notes that the car was built in Perth, Western Australia using a 1974 Ford Cortina donor, with the original build manual and photo album included. Power comes from a 2.0 litre four cylinder engine, with output not supplied, driving the rear wheels through a four speed manual transmission. The odometer reads 9,174 kilometres.

JBA Engineering was founded in the United Kingdom by Kenneth Jones, John Barlow, and David Ashley, with its cars drawing inspiration from pre war British sports cars while using more accessible donor vehicle components. The JBA Tourer was styled after the 1930s SS Jaguar 100, combining cycle guards, exposed headlamps, upright chrome grille treatment, running boards, wire style wheels, and open cockpit presentation. Unlike an original SS100, the JBA was constructed as a kit car, allowing builders to combine vintage inspired styling with more modern running gear and easier maintenance.

This example is finished in teal with cream upholstery, wood dashboard trim, a wood rim steering wheel, chrome wire style wheels, chrome exterior fittings, side mounted mirrors, wind deflectors, and a folding soft top. The supplied photographs show Smiths style instrumentation, exposed hinges, an upright windscreen, rear luggage deck, JBA badging, and Western Australian custom plates JBA000. The accompanying information records the car as using a 1974 Ford Cortina donor with a 2.0 litre four cylinder engine and four speed manual gearbox.

The current owners advise they purchased the vehicle on 31 January 2023 and, to the best of their knowledge, are the third owners. Servicing is noted as having been carried out independently once during current ownership due to the vehicle’s low mileage and the time elapsed. The accompanying information records no major work or parts replacement as being required, no current or recurring faults, and no restoration work. The vehicle is currently on club registration, with the custom plates JBA000 included in the sale.

The current owners describe the car as a responsive and comfortable little tourer. The paint is noted as having some stone chips and scratches from use attending car club meetings and shows, with no dents or trim issues recorded. The interior is described as very good, with the seats, carpets, and gauges noted as operational. The accompanying information records no accident history, and notes that touch up paint and pressure pack touch up paint from SS Industries in Midvale are included.

The sale includes the original build manual, photo album, owner’s manual, tool kit, wheel brace, jack, spare keys, immobiliser, and touch up paint.
