This 1995 MG RV8 is a rare Nightfire Red example with a well-documented ownership history since its importation to Australia. It is powered by a 3.9-litre Rover V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission, finished in Nightfire Red over beige leather upholstery. The odometer currently indicates 62,929 km*.

The MG RV8 was launched in 1992 to celebrate the revival of the MG brand. Based on the MGB platform but heavily modernised, it was fitted with a fuel-injected 3.9-litre Rover V8 and luxuriously trimmed with Connolly leather and burr elm woodwork. Just 1,983 examples were built. Today, the RV8 is regarded as both a collectible modern classic and a usable open-top sports car.

Imported from Japan by the previous owner in 2007, the car was fully overhauled upon arrival in Australia. The current owner acquired it in 2018 and has used it sparingly since, with the car now registered on New South Wales club plates. It has always been housed in a secure, enclosed garage and has primarily been driven on occasional short runs.

Servicing under current ownership has consisted of annual oil changes and yearly inspections, with pink slips carried out by Advanced Auto Services in Coffs Harbour. While it has not had a full service in recent years, the car runs and drives well, with no significant mechanical issues noted apart from an air conditioning fault that has been present since purchase.

The exterior presents in excellent order, with the Nightfire Red paintwork showing only one notable blemish: a starburst crack in the paint on the left rear bumper, with no damage to the bumper itself. Chrome, trim, and rubberwork are in very good condition. The beige leather interior is tidy, with some light scuffing on the driver’s seat consistent with age and use. The wood veneer and vinyl trim remain in excellent condition, and all switchgear presents well. The car is unmodified, retaining its original specification, and has not been resprayed under current ownership. Included in the sale are the complete original tool kit, a partial secondary tool set, and the original Japanese emergency road flare.
