This 1991 Honda NSX has been owned by just four people since new and features keen cosmetic upgrades to enhance its character. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.0-litre six-cylinder VTEC engine which develops 188kW and 285Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission in this example. The odometer of this vehicle currently displays 136,809km. Traditionally a manufacturer which earned its keep with economical hatchbacks and sensible sedans, in the 1980s Honda had amassed a substantial development budget and little economic oversight. This allowed the Japanese manufacturer to expand into the supercar market with the NSX – a two-door, mid-engined performance weapon.

The New Sportscar eXperimental (NSX) was revealed in 1989 at the Chicago Auto Show and went on sale the following year to take on the likes of Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Porsche. Some dismissed the car as tokenistic in the shadow of those revered supercar nameplates, but there was no denying the impressive engineering under the NSX’s skin. The car featured an incredible weight distribution for some of the best handling characteristics of the era, while the Ayrton Senna-tuned suspension ensured it performed well on track. These days the NSX is a highly desirable modern classic and well-kept examples are hard to find. This car was originally delivered as a green car before being resprayed to its current shade of white. It also sports a black leather interior for an all-round appealing colour combination.

The car now features subtle modifications including a Spoon instrument panel, a Pioneer stereo with a Gorilla double din media screen, and an aftermarket air filter. It rides on a set of bronze 17-inch A-Tech alloy wheels wrapped in Falken Azenis tyres. Built new by Honda in Japan and delivered new within its home market, this NSX comes with a well-documented history. The car was imported to Australia in 2021 and acquired by the current owner in February 2023. It is now a four-owner car. The last recorded maintenance was completed in 2021 where it received an engine oil and filter change.

Other notable recent maintenance includes an original gear lever being fitted and loose fixings repaired. The seller reports no mechanical or electrical faults, while no warning lights display on the dashboard. The exterior presentation of this NSX is shown to a very high standard overall. The resprayed white paintwork shows no imperfections or dulled areas, while the exterior black portions show without obvious wear and tear. All four wheels display without kerb rash, and the Falken tyres appear to retain a deep tread. It’s a similar story inside this NSX’s cabin which shows in good all-round condition, with respect to the car’s age and mileage.

The black leather upholstery is unmarked of wear and tear, while the carpeting displays in good order without stains or scuffs. There are some minor interior scuffs around door cards and centre console. This car will come with all accompanying documentation, its original air filter, and importation documents. As per Trading Garage’s Terms and Conditions, although Trading Garage have completed the following checks, bidders must satisfy themselves to the accuracy of the description and do any research, they feel necessary before bidding.
