This 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Club Sport is a limited production, lightweight special that comes with Porsche Classic certification. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.2-litre flat-six-cylinder engine that develops 174kW (234hp). Drive is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed close-ratio manual transmission. The odometer of this car displays 81,671 miles. It might look like a normal Porsche 911, but this 911 Carrera 3.2 Club Sport is a lightweight, special-edition variant that was produced in strictly limited numbers.

It was developed for the hardcore 911 owners who desired a track-inspired 911 –all unnecessary weight was stripped and the suspension and engine was tuned for club racing purposes. Only 340 cars were built in total with only 53 built in right hand drive, with a great deal of the production making its way to England between 1987 and 1989. The car features a blueprinted motor with hollow intake valves and a raised rev limit, while its power-operated features, sunroof, fog lamps, engine and luggage compartments, rear seat, sound insulation, air-conditioning, and radio were removed to save 70kg. Power outputs remain the same as the standard Carrera 3.2 on paper, but anecdotal dyno sessions have shown some CS variants develop up to 178kW (240hp). Although some owners special-ordered unique colours, all 3.2 Club Sports delivered to the United Kingdom (including this one) were painted Grand Prix White.

It features red Carrera CS decals along the side and dark grey pinstripe fabric seats with red piping. It is a completely original car, according to the owner, and retains its matching-numbers engine and gearbox combination. It runs on a set of 16-inch ‘Fuchs’ wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tyres. This 911 was manufactured in Zuffenhausen, Germany and delivered new in February 1988 through Motortune Limited in London, UK. The car was imported to New Zealand in 1994 where it remained (with two owners) until 2024. Local compliance and registration was completed in September 2024. It underwent an annual service in October 2024 at Porsche Centre Melbourne and recently earned a roadworthy certificate.

The external presentation of this Carrera 3.2 CS is a highlight. The Grand Prix White paintwork appears in resplendent, bright condition with no major imperfections. The red decals are unbroken and present in good order. Specific notes from the owner include some minor stone chipping on the front fascia. All black-painted plastics and rubbers appear without obvious patina. The four wheels present in good condition with no kerb rash.

Inside, this 911 presents in great order. There are no scuffs or tears in the pinstriped fabric upholstery and the red piping appears without damage. The dash and instrumentation displays minimal wear and tear. Its black carpeting and side sills show no scuffs. All accompanying documentation and manuals will be provided with this vehicle. It retains Porsche Classic certification. As per Trading Garage Terms and Conditions, although Trading Garage has completed the following checks, bidders must satisfy themselves to the accuracy of the description and do any research they feel necessary before bidding.
