This 1983 Porsche 911 SC Targa is an Australian delivered example that has been in the same ownership since 1986, accompanied by its original purchase receipt, original service books and documented ownership history. It is powered by a 3.0 litre naturally aspirated flat six producing 150 kW (201 hp), paired with a five speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently indicates 179,850 kilometres.

Introduced for the 1978 model year, the 911 SC refined Porsche's long running G Series 911 formula with Bosch fuel injection, a robust 3.0 litre flat six and improved drivability over earlier models. The Targa body style retained the open air character of the 911 while using a removable roof panel and fixed rear hoop, making it one of the most recognisable variants of the period.

This example is finished in Pewter Metallic over a black interior with black leather seats. It rides on Fuchs alloy wheels and presents with its removable Targa roof panel, rear spoiler, period correct cabin layout, factory style instrumentation and five speed manual gear selector.

The car has been in single ownership since 1986, with the original purchase receipt on file. It is accompanied by its original service books showing recorded maintenance through the 1980s and early 1990s, followed by later records and recent work. Recent invoices from John Walker in Tasmania show that in 2025 the car received a replacement fuel pump, battery, oil and filter service, brake master cylinder, brake hoses, rebuilt brake calipers, new brake pads, machined rotors, new tyres, fan belt replacement, cleaned air and fuel filters, cambox tubes and seals, exhaust removal and refit, valve clearance check, gearbox and differential oil change, clutch clearance adjustment, toe and ride height adjustment, brake rebleed and rectification of movement in the left rear wheel bearing.

The cabin retains its period Porsche instruments and switchgear, with age related wear visible to the black leather seats and interior finishes. A minor oil weep has been noted, although the mechanic has advised that it does not require repair at this stage.

The vehicle is accompanied by its original purchase receipt, original service books, owner's literature, service records and recent invoices.
