This 1978 Holden HZ Utility combines the long standing appeal of Holden’s full size commercial platform with a seller advised restored presentation and upgraded driveline. Power comes from a seller advised mild 5.0 litre 308 cubic inch V8, based on an engine factory rated at 161 kW (216 hp) in HZ specification, driving the rear wheels through a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The odometer reads 27,036 kilometres and is noted as TMU.

Introduced in October 1977, the Holden HZ range represented the final major evolution of Holden’s traditional full size H series platform before the arrival of the Commodore. Available across sedan, wagon, utility, panel van, and cab chassis body styles, the HZ carried over the broad architecture of the preceding HX while introducing revised exterior details and Holden’s Radial Tuned Suspension across the range. This system brought revised springs, dampers, anti roll bars, and suspension geometry, giving the HZ range a sharper and more composed road feel than earlier H series models.
