This 1977 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II was previously owned by Australian motorsport identity Gary Rodgers of GRM Motorsport. Finished in deep red over a beige leather interior and retaining its original factory identification plates and handbooks, it is powered by a 6.75-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing approximately 147kW (197hp), paired with a three speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently displays 166,536 kilometres.
Introduced in 1977, the Silver Shadow II represented the final evolution of Rolls Royce’s landmark Silver Shadow series, bringing refinements to ride quality, steering and interior comfort while retaining the marque’s unmistakable presence and craftsmanship. Known for their effortless driving character and exceptional cabin appointments, Silver Shadows became a favourite among dignitaries, celebrities and collectors alike, with surviving examples continuing to attract enthusiasts seeking traditional British luxury motoring.
Finished in dark red with chrome exterior detailing and factory wheel trims, this example presents in largely original specification. The cabin is trimmed in beige leather with extensive timber veneer throughout the dashboard and door trims, accompanied by period correct instrumentation and switchgear. Included with the vehicle are keys, owner’s handbooks and service literature pictured in the gallery. The seller advises the vehicle remains mechanically sound and drives well.
Gary Rodgers was a respected figure within Australian motorsport and founder of GRM Motorsport. Service stickers visible in the gallery reference specialist maintenance by Matt’s Automotive, a known Jaguar and Rolls Royce workshop, while additional Rolls Royce and Bentley service documentation is included.
The seller reports the vehicle shows cosmetic blemishes consistent with age, including imperfections in the paintwork and wear to the front seats. The interior leather displays creasing and patina throughout, while the exterior chrome and brightwork appear complete based on the gallery provided. Factory identification and paint plates remain fitted to the vehicle.
