This 1976 Holden HX Belmont Panel Van has been completed as a Sandman tribute, pairing period inspired presentation with a seller advised Chevrolet small block driveline. Power comes from a 5.7 litre 350 cubic inch V8, with output not supplied, driving the rear wheels through a Turbo 400 three speed automatic transmission with a 2500 rpm high stall converter. The odometer reads 393,106 kilometres and is noted as TMU.

Released in July 1976, the Holden HX range succeeded the HJ and remained in production until October 1977. The HX brought revised frontal styling, updated badging, and engine changes to meet Australian emissions regulations, while retaining the broad full size Holden platform used across sedan, wagon, utility, panel van, and cab chassis body styles. The commercial vehicle range included utility, panel van, and one tonner variants, with the Sandman offered as a recreational package on both utility and panel van bodies. Sandman models drew on Monaro GTS styling cues and equipment, including sports themed trim, decals, striping, and a more lifestyle focused presentation.

This example is presented in bright green with black striping and Sandman tribute detailing, while the registration record lists the vehicle colour as white. The supplied photographs show a panel van body with black bonnet accents, quad headlamp front treatment, aftermarket five spoke wheels, tinted windows, black and grey bucket seats with green inserts, an aftermarket sports steering wheel, and woodgrain style dash fascia. The seller advises the vehicle is fitted with power windows. The engine bay presents with a Chevrolet small block V8, Edelbrock air cleaner, Edelbrock rocker covers, alloy radiator, and polished ancillary components.

The seller advises this vehicle is in third ownership from new and spent years being rebuilt using genuine Sandman and Monaro parts, with the work said to have been completed in 1998. According to the seller, the van is fitted with a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8, Turbo 400 automatic transmission, 9 inch differential with 3.25 gears and a mini spool, and has recently received a new Truetrac 9 inch differential centre, rebuilt Turbo 400 transmission, dyno tune, and new exhaust. The seller advises the vehicle has been stored inside and kept under a car cover.

The seller describes the vehicle as extremely well presented.
