This 1974 Holden LH Torana SL/R 5000 Tribute is a rust-free example and comes with a host of aftermarket modifications. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.0-litre ‘LS2’ V8 engine that sends power to the rear wheels. The transmission in this car is automatic. The odometer currently displays an indicated 239,833km. The Holden Torana SL/R 5000 is one of Australia’s best-known muscle cars. It was first made famous after dominating Mount Panorama and the local Group C touring cars, but has since become a pop-culture icon around the country for its brattish character and ostentatious paint schemes. Where the Holden Monaros of the era were sold to more discerning types, the Torana was all about fun and games with eye-catching bolt-on fender flares, two-tone paintwork, and a raucous V8 engine under the bonnet.

What was once a regular four-door sedan was transformed into a racing weapon thanks to pumped guards, an aerodynamic ducktail spoiler, and a big air dam on the bonnet. Holden Toranas remain incredibly desirable on the used market, especially in SL/R 5000 specification. They’re regularly mimicked, as seen with this Tribute car. This Torana SL/R 5000 tribute is based on the LH-generation model and it wears Cool White paint on the outside with two-tone black portions. The interior features black vinyl upholstery. The car sports SL/R 5000 styling including pumped guards and a rear duck-tail spoiler, plus it scores the large air dam on the bonnet. In terms of additions, it’s equipped with an HQ Holden stud pattern for the wheels, Desert Cooler aluminium radiator, Wilwood brakes, Bang Shift 2800 stall, and a Borg Warner diff with 3.

08 ratio. It rides on a set of 15-inch Hot Wire wheels wrapped in Nankang tyres. Originally delivered as a regular Torana in 1974, this car has been self-built by the current owner as a full replica of an SL/R 5000 Torana. These works included a repaint in its current shade. The automatic transmission was fully rebuilt, it received a new tail shaft and yokes, and new springs, bushes, shocks were added. The rubbers and windscreen were replaced, and its interior was retrimmed. The exterior condition of this SL/R 5000 recreation is great.

The black-and-white paintjob appears in great order and no obvious dents or scratches are seen on the panels. Some light swirl marking could be improved with a detail. Chrome bumpers were rejuvenated recently and present with a shine. No obvious kerb rash damage appears on the wheels. Inside, this Torana shows in well-maintained order. The black vinyl seats appear without damage and stains, the door panels present without scuffing, and the dash shows no obvious marks. A replacement radio sits within the dash, plus aftermarket SAAS gauges have been fitted.

This car will come with all accompanying books, manuals, and parts.
