This 1973 Alfa Romeo Spider is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-cam four-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, finished in Argento Metallizzato over a black interior. Combining classic Pininfarina styling with engaging open-top motoring, it represents one of Alfa Romeo’s most iconic models of the era. The odometer currently indicates 60,569 miles*.

The Alfa Romeo Spider was introduced in the mid-1960s and became one of the marque’s most enduring models, combining Italian style from Pininfarina with Alfa’s lively twin-cam engines and agile handling. By the early 1970s, the Spider had already established itself as a cult classic, with its sharp design and spirited performance making it a favourite among enthusiasts worldwide. Today, well-preserved examples remain highly collectible for their blend of open-top motoring charm and sporting pedigree.

This example has had three known owners from new, with the current custodian holding the car for over 20 years. Originally purchased in Brisbane and later moved to Perth, the car has been enjoyed as part of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club, participating in convoy runs, Sunday drives, and occasional weekend getaways. It has never been used as a daily driver and has typically covered just 3,500–4,000 km annually. Servicing has been carried out by Fosters Automotive in Roleystone, with additional maintenance documented through receipts accompanying the car. The most recent work included an oil and filter change, new brakes all around and wheel balancing by Bob Jane. The seller reports the engine has never been opened and continues to run strongly with no known mechanical faults.

The exterior presents well in Argento Metallizzato. The bodywork is clean, and while it appears to have been resprayed prior to current ownership it has remained in good order. Minor bodywork has been completed over the past two decades and the dashboard has been restored with no cracks present. The car retains its original Momo wheels, exhaust and mirrors.

Inside, the black interior remains very presentable, with only a minor tear in the driver’s seat noted. The door panels have been replaced and are in good condition, while the rest of the cabin shows careful upkeep consistent with the car’s age. This Alfa Romeo Spider will be supplied with a history file including receipts from previous servicing and maintenance.
