This 1971 MV Agusta 125 GTL-S is a tidily-presented classic sports bike and its immaculate condition would suit a collection. It is powered by a 124cc four-stroke, two-valve, single-cylinder engine. Its 13kW (17hp) output is sent through a five-speed manual transmission. Its odometer currently shows 22,435km. Following disappointing sales of its 1960s line-up which introduced three new models with varying engine sizes, MV Agusta returned to its roots by offering the 125 in 1969. Despite MV Agustas being traditionally expensive compared to their British contemporaries, the 125 was a commercial success for the brand and effectively kept the Italian bike-maker afloat during a difficult period.

Sporty Italian bikes are always desirable in the used motorbike market and this MV’s 1970’s styling is well and truly back in vogue. Especially with its lightweight components and nimble handling character, the 125 GTL-S is an entertaining bike to ride whether it’s through a set of hills or around town. All vintage bikes presented in this kind of condition are hard to come by, but MV Agustas are particularly sought-after. Complete with red paintwork, polished chrome, and black and white trim, this vintage bike is sure to catch the eye of onlookers. There appears to be no aftermarket modifications, though the seat is embroidered.

It also displays Mille Miglia, MV Agusta, and Scuderia Italia stickers throughout. It rides on a set of wire spoke wheels. This sports bike was made in Italy and has been a part of a large bike collection for several years. It is presently unregistered due to being a display piece, however the seller assures it would pass inspection for club plates or full registration. In terms of presentation, this MV Agusta shows in brilliant order throughout.

Chromework is polished to a shine, while red paintwork glistens nicely in the sun without imperfections. Its stickers appear in good order without tear or damage. No signs of patina or tarnish are identified on its wheels or guards. Some minor heat tinting is seen on the exhaust, as expected with use. Its seat and handlebars appear in great condition without noticeable wear and tear.

This bike’s condition would impress the most fastidious collectors, and its relative rarity means opportunities like this don’t happen often. As per Trading Garage’s Terms and Conditions, although Trading Garage have completed the following checks, bidders must satisfy themselves to the accuracy of the description and do any research, they feel necessary before bidding.
