Built from a CKD (completely knocked down) kit imported from Wolfsburg and assembled at Volkswagen’s Clayton, Victoria facility, this car is a long-nose Fastback and was first registered in July 1970.

The current owner has had the car for nine years, during which it has travelled just 4000 km. It’s believed to have had only three owners from new.

Servicing has been handled exclusively by German automotive specialists including Benzmobile, Tin God Solutions, and Bruno Fink's Motor Repairs. Notable mechanical attention includes reconditioned twin carburetors, fuel hose replacement, a new accelerator cable, and a new main oil seal. The car is said to start reliably with only a minor oil weep typical of air-cooled Volkswagens of this age. Mechanically, it drives well and the engine is described as strong and dependable.
