This 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4.2 2+2 Fixed Head Coupe is a right-hand-drive, Australian-delivered example that has been treated to a body-off respray and presents in excellent condition throughout. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.2-litre inline-six engine producing 187kW (245hp), mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The odometer currently reads 201 miles, listed as TMU.

Few cars in history carry the weight of the Jaguar E-Type. Unveiled at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show, it drew immediate and near-universal acclaim, with Enzo Ferrari famously describing it as the most beautiful car ever made. The Series 2, introduced in 1968, brought meaningful refinements including improved cooling, revised lighting to meet new US regulations, and a more accessible open cockpit. The 2+2 Fixed Head Coupe offered all the drama of the E-Type with the practicality of a longer wheelbase and occasional rear seating. Powered by the silky 4.2-litre XK inline-six, it remains one of the great grand tourers of its era. Australian-delivered right-hand-drive examples with documented local history are particularly sought after by collectors, and values continue to reflect the E-Type's enduring status as one of the most desirable classic cars in the world.

This car is finished in Cardinal Red over a tan leather interior. The cabin features tan leather bucket seats, tan carpets, a period-style three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel with alloy spokes, and a black dashboard with full instrumentation including a central tachometer and speedometer. No significant aftermarket modifications are fitted, with the exception of an aftermarket water pump. The car rides on a set of chrome wire wheels fitted with period-correct tyres.

Built in October 1968 and delivered new to Australia through Westco in Brisbane, this E-Type has spent its entire life on home soil. The current owner, the third in the car's history, has held it for 11 years as part of a private classic car collection. The car's history includes a notable period of dry storage spanning approximately 20 years under the first owner. During the current ownership, the car has been treated to a body-off restoration including a full respray from its original Golden Sand to the current Cardinal Red. A new clutch and pressure plate were installed in 2008. Servicing has been carried out by PMR on the Sunshine Coast and by the owner. Original service books are present with the car.

The Cardinal Red paintwork presents in excellent condition with no stone chips, scratches, or dents identified. Chrome detailing including the bumperettes, headlight surrounds, and door handles presents in polished condition, and all four chrome wire wheels appear without dent or damage. The tan leather upholstery on both front seats shows no notable scuffs, creasing, or wear, carpets are in clean order, and all instrumentation and switchgear present correctly. This E-Type will be supplied with its original tool set, spare keys, original service booklets, receipts, and owner's manual.
