This 1965 Jaguar S-Type has been owned by the current seller for approximately ten years and is accompanied by receipts covering that period. Its twin-cam inline-six engine is paired with a later-model three-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows 38,186 miles* TMU, with the true mileage unknown.

Introduced in 1963, the S-Type developed Jaguar’s compact saloon formula with revised bodywork, increased luggage space and independent rear suspension. Sold alongside the MkII, it offered a more refined ride and additional interior comfort while retaining the marque’s familiar six-cylinder powertrain and four-wheel disc brakes.

Finished in red, this example features chrome wire wheels, whitewall tyres, chrome bumpers with overriders and front fog lamps. The interior combines tan upholstery and carpets with a timber dashboard, a wood-rim Moto-Lita steering wheel, a column-mounted automatic selector and a radio.

The seller identifies one previous owner and advises that servicing has been undertaken by specialist Breed Motorshop. The last full service was approximately three years ago, with the seller reporting regular oil changes since then despite limited use. Original service books are unavailable, although a collection of receipts from the past decade accompanies the vehicle.

Reported mechanical work includes replacement of the braking system, new cylinder-head studs and a rear main seal, cylinder-head reconditioning and valve work, replacement piston rings and bearings, and a new oil pump. The seller advises that the cylinder bores and crankshaft were found to be in good condition during this work.

The car was reportedly repainted around 2010. The seller describes the paintwork and interior as being in very good condition and reports no known current mechanical faults or outstanding work. They advise that the car starts readily, maintains its operating temperature in hot weather and that both fuel tanks operate correctly.

Included with the sale are the accumulated receipts, a tool kit stored in the boot and a lead hammer for the wheel spinners.
