This 1963 Austin Healey 3000 Mk II BJ7 is a classic Big Healey convertible, finished in Old English White over Gunmetal with black trim. According to the seller, it has been in their ownership since 2004 and was resprayed in 2015, with power coming from a 2.9 litre naturally aspirated inline six cylinder engine producing 97kW (132hp), paired with a four speed manual transmission with overdrive, with the odometer currently showing 99,149 miles* TMU.

The Austin Healey 3000 Mk II BJ7 marked an important step in the evolution of the Big Healey, introducing the more civilised sports convertible body style with wind up side windows, a folding roof and improved touring usability. Powered by the 2912cc C Series six cylinder engine, the BJ7 retained the strong, charismatic performance and rear drive layout that made the 3000 one of the defining British sports cars of the 1960s. Its combination of chrome detailing, muscular proportions and open air touring ability continues to give the model strong appeal among classic British car enthusiasts.

This example is finished in Old English White over Gunmetal - a combination that shifts noticeably between chocolate, grey and gunmetal tones depending on the light - with black interior trim, a black folding roof, chrome exterior trim and wire wheels. According to the seller, the car is fitted with 72 spoke Dayton wire wheels, a Moto Lita steering wheel and a stainless steel exhaust fitted in 2006. The seller advises the car was fully retrimmed in 2005, including the carpets, seats and tonneau, and that the crimp weld trim around both doors has recently been replaced. New tail lights were also fitted recently for appearance. The supplied images show a Sony audio unit, wood rim steering wheel, Smiths style instrumentation and a manual gear selector.

The seller advises they purchased the car in June 2004 from a gentleman in Adelaide, who had acquired it from The Healey Factory approximately one year earlier. The car has been maintained by English car specialists during the seller's ownership, including World Class Automotive while the seller lived in Sydney, followed by Graeme Lord Automotive, Wollongong Auto Excellence and Euro Cars Garage after moving to Wollongong. According to the seller, the gearbox was rebuilt in 2017, the car was fully re-loomed front to back in 2005, and the most recent full service was completed on 6 August 2025, including replacement of the brake slave cylinder, master cylinder and brake booster, with new Michelin tyres fitted at the same time. The accompanying invoices also include records from The Healey Factory and World Class Automotive.

The seller advises the car is in excellent mechanical condition, though the sway bar rubbers will need replacement at some point. The seller reports the paint presents well, with a small chip below the left rear bumper that has been hand touched, and describes the trim as very good. According to the seller, everything in the car works as it should, while the seat belts could be replaced to improve the appearance. The previous owner advised the seller that the car had a front end collision approximately 32 years ago, with some welding visible inside the left front wheel well. The sale includes an aftermarket jack, spare key, spare wheel with unused fresh tyre and all maintenance receipts.
