This 1962 Austin Healey 3000 BJ7 is finished in British Racing Green over a black leather interior and shows 93,274 miles indicated. Powered by a 2.9 litre inline six paired with a four speed manual gearbox with overdrive, the BJ7 represents the final evolution of the early big Healeys, blending classic open roadster character with improved usability.

Introduced in 1962, the BJ7 marked a significant update to the 3000 range, bringing roll up windows, a curved windscreen and a revised convertible hood while retaining the strong performance and rally pedigree that defined the model. With its torquey straight six engine and robust mechanicals, the 3000 became one of the most successful British sports cars of its era and remains highly regarded today.

The current owner has owned the car for approximately one year. The car underwent a comprehensive restoration by the Healey Factory in 2011 and has been used sparingly since, presenting today as a well sorted and carefully maintained example. Servicing has been carried out by a mobile mechanic during the current ownership, with prior servicing undertaken by the Healey Factory. A factory workshop manual accompanies the car, though no service record books are present. The most recent full service was completed in March this year, with no major work or part replacements required.

The exterior presents well overall, with minor bubbling noted on the boot lid. No stone chips, scratches or dents are reported elsewhere. The hood is described as being in excellent condition, and both a tonneau cover and hood cover are included. Tyres show minimal wear but are approximately 15 years old; the spare tyre remains unused. A set of aftermarket Lucas spotlights are fitted.

Inside, the black leather upholstery was replaced as part of the 2011 restoration and presents well, with light ageing consistent with use. The cloth covered wiring harness has also been replaced. Interior trim, carpets and controls present cleanly, with the only noted issue being a tonneau cover clip that has come loose, with the owner unsure how to resecure the stud. An aftermarket Motolite steering wheel is also fitted.

Mechanically, the car is described as driving exceptionally well. The owner reports that it feels tight with no squeaks or rattles and drives as a Healey should. There are no known faults, warning lights or outstanding mechanical issues.

The car has not been involved in any accidents since the restoration and remains largely original in specification, with no aftermarket modifications fitted.

This Austin Healey 3000 BJ7 is supplied with the original jack, jack bag and knock off hammer, two sets of keys and a factory workshop manual. No spare parts are included.
