This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 is a restored open-top sports car featuring a rebuilt engine and upgraded suspension. Its naturally aspirated inline six is fitted with triple Weber carburettors and paired with a manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows 65,922 miles* TMU.

Introduced in 1959, the Austin-Healey 3000 developed the earlier 100-6 formula with a larger 2,912 cc six-cylinder engine and front disc brakes. The BT7 provided a four-seat configuration alongside the two-seat BN7, retaining the low-slung bodywork and distinctive proportions associated with the Big Healey. These early cars subsequently became known as the 3000 Mk I.

Finished in cream with a black interior, this example features chrome wire wheels with knock-off spinners, chrome bumpers and a twin-outlet side-exit exhaust. The right-hand-drive cabin includes a wood-rim steering wheel with drilled metal spokes, a floor-mounted gear lever, black carpeting and contrasting upholstery piping. The engine bay displays triple side-draught Weber carburettors and a polished rocker cover. The seller reports suspension upgrades comprising replacement shock absorbers, rear tramp bars and larger front suspension bars, together with replacement front brake discs.

The seller advises that the car came from the United States and has been under their ownership since 2015, with servicing undertaken annually during that period. Earlier ownership details are unknown. A full restoration is attributed to Austin-Healey specialist Callanish Restorations, while the engine is reported to have been rebuilt and tuned by PowerPlay in Melbourne. Photographed paperwork includes a restoration expenditure summary recording work during 2014 and subsequent PowerPlay tuning documentation.

The seller describes the restored paintwork and interior trim as being in excellent condition and reports no accident history. The photographs show some creasing to the seat upholstery.

Included with the sale are a spare wheel and fire extinguisher. The seller advises that no books are available.
