This 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica is a true-to-form rendition of a Porsche icon, with just three owners from new and a reputable company behind its construction. It’s powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder boxer engine which outputs power to the rear wheels. This car comes with a four-speed manual transmission. Its odometer currently states 21,091km. With original Porsche Speedster values rising to the stratosphere it’s understandable that more and more enthusiasts are turning to reputable workshops to create bespoke replicas. However, the quality variance of imitations on the market means buyers must choose carefully, which is why this Beck-built example makes all the difference.

Porsche Speedster replicas built by Beck use a 3-inch tubular chassis which ensures body flex is minimal and the agile Speedster handling characteristics are maintained. Each Speedster made by Beck is done in a built-to-order fashion which means a tailor-made car for every buyer. The Speedster has become one of the best-known and most desirable 356 variations thanks to its gorgeous looks, myriad features in film and TV, and of course, a brilliant drive experience. This Speedster is presented with light blue exterior paintwork, dark blue upholstery, and a dark blue Stanfast folding roof top. Other highlights of this car’s specification include yellow fog lamps, a vintage stainless steel exhaust system, CB performance rear disc brakes, twin Dellorto carburettors, Nardi woodgrain steering wheel, stainless steel side mouldings, and Koni adjustable shock absorbers. The car rides on a set of 15-inch chrome-capped wheels wrapped in Yokohama BluEarth tyres.

Built by Beck Speedster in Indiana State, US in 2005, this example has been owned by three people since new. Its first owner ordered and imported the vehicle to Australia before selling it to a second custodian in Sydney, then the vehicle was sold to its current Noosa-based owner in 2017. Since being in the current owner’s care the car has been serviced by Vintage Speedsters in Sydney and VW specialists in Noosa. It was last serviced earlier this year according to the owner. The vehicle’s exterior condition is presented to a high standard overall. The blue paintwork shows no imperfections on fibreglass panels and clean reflections are seen in the finish.

There are a series of stone chips on the front end, though the tonneau cover and soft-top roof show in as-new condition. The owner notes the rear tail-light rubbers need fitting, fog lights to be wired, and exterior door handle rubbers to replace. Chrome detailing and gold badges present without patina. All four wheels show no obvious kerb rash damage. Inside, this Speedster shows in great order. The blue upholstery contains some areas of creasing, though no obvious signs of tears or scuffs are seen.

Carpeting displays in clean and unmarked order while the dash and door cards contain no nicks or scratches. The owner notes the demister vents in the dash need to be replaced. This car will come with a jack, Beck Speedster manual, wheel spanner, various rubbers, and vent covers. The personalised number plates will not be sold with the vehicle. As per Trading Garage’s Terms and Conditions, although Trading Garage have completed the following checks, bidders must satisfy themselves to the accuracy of the description and do any research, they feel necessary before bidding. All listings are sold in Australian dollars.

This vehicle is currently registered in QLD until 12/04/2024. There are no security interests registered on the PPSR against the serial number and it is not recorded as written off or stolen.
