This 1971 Holden (HG) Panel Van is a fully restored example finished in its factory Polar White (paint code 568) with a striking red interior, presenting in immaculate condition and ready to use as a daily driver. It is powered by a 161 cubic inch inline-six engine, mated to a three-speed manual transmission. The odometer currently reads 31,800 miles, listed as TMU.

The HG panel van occupies a cherished place in Australian automotive culture. Produced between 1969 and 1971, the HG generation represented the final evolution of the original Kingswood body style before the arrival of the HQ, and the panel van variant has become one of the most desirable bodystyles of the entire Holden lineage. Combining the practicality of a commercial body with the character and style of the era, the HG panel van is now firmly established as a blue-chip Australian classic. Fully restored, low-mileage examples are increasingly rare and command strong collector interest.

This van is finished in factory Polar White over a red vinyl interior, a colour combination of considerable period charm. The cabin features red vinyl bench seating, red carpets, and a period Holden three-spoke steering wheel with chrome spokes and Holden lion centre emblem. The black dashboard presents with the original instrument cluster. No notable aftermarket modifications are fitted and the van presents as a faithful, honest restoration throughout. The body identification plate confirms the original factory paint code 568 and trim code 1192.

The van's early history is exceptionally well documented. The maintenance records reveal that this HG panel van served as a fleet vehicle with the Shire of Euroa in regional Victoria, with a meticulous handwritten plant maintenance record card documenting every service, repair, and parts replacement from June 1980 through to 73,400km in 1997. Entries include regular oil and filter changes, spark plug and points replacements, rocker cover gasket replacements, a new water pump, clutch and pressure plate, brake pads, exhaust system, alternator bearings, and numerous other items, all recorded with dates and odometer readings. This level of documentation is extraordinarily rare for a vehicle of this age. The van has been in its current ownership for six years and was fully restored approximately five years ago. It is described as immaculate and ready to drive as a daily.

The Polar White paintwork presents in immaculate condition following the restoration, displaying a good depth of shine with no notable marks, chips, or blemishes identified. Panel fit is consistent throughout and all chrome detailing presents in polished condition. Both wheels appear without damage. The red vinyl upholstery, carpets, and interior trim present in excellent order with no notable scuffs or wear. All instrumentation presents correctly.

This HG Panel Van will be supplied with the original HZ Series Holden owner's manual, the original Shire of Euroa plant maintenance record cards, BP car care service logs, and keys.
