2018 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Sedan
This 2018 Mercedes-AMG C63S is the last of its generation as it will be the last V8 powered AMG C-Class. Under the bonnet is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which outputs 375kW/700Nm to the rear wheels. The engine is mated to a seven-speed multi-clutch transmission which allows the C63S sedan to run from zero to 100km/h in 4.0 seconds flat. This example currently indicates 18,343km showing on the odometer.
The current-gen AMG C63S has been a runaway success for Mercedes-Benz, particularly in Australia where the ratio of AMG variants sold compared to regular Mercedes-Benz models is higher than any other market. The C63S is one of the last V8 hold-outs in its segment, still retaining a V8 where rivals turned towards more efficient six-cylinder powerplants. However this will be the last V8-powered C-Class, as the next-generation is set to halve the number of cylinders to become a turbocharged hybrid four-cylinder. In addition to its performance characteristics, the AMG C63S contains interior appointments and high-tech features befitting of a prestige car.
This example wears a black-out specification, pairing the black metallic paintwork with black leather upholstery, accented by suede inserts on the seats and steering wheel. The underrated comfort seats were specified, as was carbon fibre trim throughout the cabin. It rides on a set of 19-inch AMG wheels in black with a silver lip, and red brake calipers are fitted to this car. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres are currently on the car.
Built new in Affalterbach, Germany in January 2018, this AMG C63S sedan was delivered new through Mercedes-Benz Brighton. It has been well taken care of by its one owner since new. All servicing has been completed by Mercedes-Benz Brighton.
Fresh from the automotive detailer, the exterior black paint on this car presents very well. The front bar has some minor scratching to the right hand side, though the remainder of the car appears in good shape. This car features the grille from the facelifted C63s, which looks to be in fine condition. All four wheels are unmarked of damage and the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres retain a good amount of tread.
Interior-wise, this AMG C63S is clean and undamaged. The leather comfort seats still present in good shape and suede accenting has not worn. Trim pieces are still tight and undamaged, testament to Mercedes-Benz build quality. All tech and infotainment componentry functions as normal. It is fitted with a genuine Mercedes-Benz boot liner which has protected the boot floor from damage, and all four AMG floor mats are in good condition.
This car will be sold with a full service history and accompanying documentation. It has also just been detailed.
