2018 BMW (F82) M4 CS
This 2018 BMW M4 CS is a tidy-kept example of BMW’s penultimate track day hero. Under the bonnet is a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine packing 338kW/600Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which can send the M4 CS from zero to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds. The odometer on this example currently indicates 21,404km since new.
Unlike M cars before it, BMW didn’t quite get the M4 right from the get-go. The M4 debut car was overly snappy and difficult to judge, subsequent revisions such as the M4 Competition were better but still not quite right, and the top-dog M4 GTS was riotous fun but was full-on. As one of the last variants of the F82 chassis, the M4 CS came along to bring bits from the best parts of all M4 versions into one final, total package. Where you wouldn’t daily drive the M4 GTS, this car exists solely for that purpose. It’s not as hardcore as the GTS, but it’s the most hardcore iteration of the M4 that you could conceivably live with daily and enjoy at the occasional track day.
This example is finished in classic BMW Alpine White over a black leather/Alcantara interior. It is specified with the staggered 19-/20-inch CS-specific wheels finished in satin dark grey, while blue BMW brake calipers hide underneath. Being an M4 CS, this car is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. It also scores the OLED tail lights, various carbon fibre elements, and door cards from the M4 GTS.
Originally built in December 2017 and delivered new through Hornsby BMW in early 2018, this car has since relocated with its first and only owner to Queensland. Since moving to Queensland, all servicing has been completed by Coastline BMW on the Sunshine Coast. All maintenance has been covered under the BMW Service Inclusive package which will transfer to the new owner and run until 11/02/2023 or 80,000 kms. The last major service was completed in February 2021 which included a routine spark plug replacement. The car is garaged day and night and spends a majority of time underneath an indoor car cover.
Exterior condition is described as exemplary. Alpine White paintwork shines as-new while exterior carbon fibre retains its original glossy finish. The front carbon fibre lip looks to have picked up some minor scratching, though its condition is commensurate with moderate use. No curb rash is seen on any of the four wheels but the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres are nearing the end of their useable life.
Similar to the exterior, this CS’s interior is immaculately presented. Very little wear and tear can be seen throughout the cabin, with the black leather/Alcantara upholstery showing minimal sagging or creasing. The Alcantara of the steering wheel has held up well. No other nicks, marks, or scratches can be seen on cabin materials.
