2017 Honda S660

This 2017 Honda S660 is keenly-upgraded example of a Japan-only “kei car” with just two owners from new. It is powered by a mid-mounted turbocharged 660cc three-cylinder engine which produces 47kW/104Nm. This power is fed to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The odometer of this car currently displays 61,851km.

Not only is the Honda S660 a rare sight on local roads, its entire class of car is unheard of in Australia. A “kei car” is a Japanese type of microcar which is the smallest highway-legal passenger vehicle. They’re restricted in both size, power output and engine capacity, but the upsides are greatly reduced vehicle taxes, insurance premiums, and improved ease of use in one of the most congested cities in the world. The Honda S660 was manufactured from 2015 until 2022 and appeals to driving enthusiasts. It follows Honda’s S- naming scheme where the letter S is followed by the car’s engine displacement. The Honda S660’s engine revs-out to 7,700rpm in manual examples, while they weigh just 830kg. Its weight distribution is also 45r/55r which earned it high praise with automotive media. A Honda S660 for sale in Australia is rare opportunity and a cleanly modified example like this is rarer still.

This Honda S660 is painted Star White Pearl and features a black leatherette/microfibre cabin. It features a host of visual upgrades including Modulo front and rear bumpers, TM Koubou front lip and rear diffuser, TM Koubou headlight protectors, and a ducktail rear spoiler. It’s also fitted with performance enhancements such as a Blitz NUR-SPEC VSR exhaust, Blitz ZZ-R coilovers, and front and rear strut bars. It rides on a set of staggered 16-/17-inch Work Emotion wheels which are wrapped in Goodyear tyres.

Built by Honda in Japan and delivered new within its home country, this Honda S660 was privately imported to Australia and registered by its current owner in August 2022. It is a two-owner car. The most recent servicing was performed by the owner in which engine oil, transmission oil, and an oil filter were replaced. The seller understands the vehicle was previously serviced within Japan.

The exterior condition of this S660 is very clean. Paintwork shows in fine order with no overt marks or imperfection and the black soft-top roof appears undamaged. There is a small scratch on the lower edge of the driver’s door, while scratches are also found on the front splitter and grille. All four wheels are unmarked of kerb rash, while the Goodyear tyres retain a good tread depth.

Inside the cabin this Honda S660 shows in great condition. Seats display without major crease lines, while the floor mats and carpeting is undamaged. There are consistent points of scuff damage and fine scratch marks around the driver’s door sills and at touch points such as the door cards. No marks of wear and tear are identified on the steering wheel or the car’s dash.

This car will come with accompanying documentation and all listed modifications.
