2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe

This 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe is one of the last of its kind, presenting in desirable coupe specification. It is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which sends 375kW/700Nm through the rear wheels. The powertrain is mated to a seven-speed multi-clutch transmission that allows the C63 S Coupe to sprint from zero to 100km/h in just under 4.0 seconds. This example currently shows 59,462km on the odometer.

With ever-increasing stringent emissions regulations, cars like the V8-powered C63 S super coupe are not long for this world. It’s been confirmed the next-generation Mercedes-AMG C63 will move to hybrid four-cylinder power, meaning this car here is the last generation C-Class to be fitted with a V8. Some hold the naturally-aspirated W204 C63 in high regard, but there’s no denying the performance Mercedes-AMG has managed to squeeze out of the twin-turbo V8 in this application. At the same time, the sonorous engine note has not been lost in the transition to turbocharged power which is no easy feat. Mercedes-Benz was one of the first manufacturers to introduce a big V8 into a small executive sedan and it’ll be one of the last to ever offer it in this super capable AMG.

This C63 S Coupe is specified in Selenite Grey over a black leather-upholstered interior. On the outside the car features red highlights on the front bumper, is fitted with staggered 19/20-inch AMG alloy wheels with silver lip, equips red brake calipers, and scores a stealth black badging package. The interior features the AMG Performance seats, carbon interior package, Burmester sound system, head-up display, 360-degree cameras, as well as brushed silver trim on the upper dash and door cards.

Built new in October 2016 inside Mercedes-AMG’s Affalterbach facility, this car was subsequently complied in December 2016 and delivered new through Mercedes-Benz. It has since been owned by two people and has a full Mercedes-Benz service history. No modifications have been made to this car apart from the slight cosmetic additions listed above. Inclusive of an extended warranty through National Warranty Company until January 2024.

The exterior condition of this C63 is described as very good, with the Selenite Grey paintwork showing a nice amount of metallic flake and all wheels unmarked of curb rash. Very little exterior damage shows on this car, save for one light scratch near the fuel filler cap and one small 3mm ding on the driver’s door. The car rides on a set of Pirelli P Zero tyres which retain a good level of tread depth. All other exterior components and trim pieces present in good condition for the car’s age.

Interior-wise, this C63 is showing some signs of wear and tear. The suede steering wheel inserts have worn down and other leather parts of the cabin have developed a shiny effect rather than the factory matte look. The seats themselves have some stress marks on the bolsters and base. Silver trim and interior carbon fibre panels look to be in good order, as do the original AMG floor mats.
