THE AUCTION IS UNDER PROXY BIDDING
2016 BMW (F82) M4 Competition
This 2016 BMW (F82) M4 Competition is a one-owner example presenting in clean, unmodified condition. Under the bonnet is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine outputting 331kW/550Nm to the rear wheels. This car is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which allows the M4 Competition to sprint from zero to 100km/h in four seconds flat. The odometer of this example currently displays 38,930km.
Breaking with tradition of the M3 nameplate, the M4 carved out its own path upon its 2014 debut to mixed criticism. While the high-performance coupe ushered in a new era of turbocharged power for BMW sports cars, many were quick to judge it as too raw for the road. This prompted BMW to quickly unveil the updated M4 Competition, a more well-rounded car with upgraded power, subtle styling tweaks, bespoke exhaust system, stiffer spring rates and dampers, as well as a more lenient stability control calibration. This was undoubtedly a significant improvement for the model, which made the car far less snappy and prone to oversteer.
This example is painted in Mineral Grey and is specified with a black leather interior. Lashings of carbon fibre are found in and around the car, while it also rides on a set of Style 666 20-inch wheels (from the M4 GTS) wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S/Pilot Super Sport tyres. Blue brake calipers clamp down on a set of standard brake rotors. Shadowline trim highlights the exterior of this M4 Competition and a carbon-fibre roof panel sets off the subdued colour combination.
This one-owner car was built in March 2016, complied in Australia in May 2016, and delivered new through Doncaster BMW shortly thereafter. It has enjoyed a full BMW dealer service history, with the last maintenance carried out through South Yarra BMW in January 2021, with regular maintenance taking place.
The exterior condition of this M4 Competition presents remarkably well. The Mineral Grey paintwork shows no signs of scratching or paint damage, retaining the glossy shine it left the factory with. Next to no weathering is observed on any of the exterior trim components, and the carbon-fibre roof retains its glossy factory lacquer. All four wheels remain in excellent condition with no curb rash, and the Michelin tyres look in decent condition.
Likewise, the cabin of this M4 Competition shows in very good order. The leather upholstery adorning the seats, dash, and doors shows no signs of marking, while the seats themselves have held up well. Minimal signs of wear and tear are observed on trim componentry, and very few marks of scuffing are seen throughout. The car is specified with heated seats and Harman/Kardon audio, which both work as expected. A set of factory floor mats is retained with the car, which both show in clean condition.
All accompanying documentation will be supplied with this car, as will two sets of keys and owners manuals.
