2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider
This 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is a tidy one-owner example of Alfa’s premier sports car and has been driven sparingly since new. A mid-mounted 1.75-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine sends 177kW and 350Nm to the rear wheels. The Alfa 4C was only available with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This example currently displays 14,824km on its odometer since new.
The Alfa 4C was unveiled in 2013 and marked the brand’s first return to form in decades. This was a true sports car which was what the Italian marque made its name for. Additionally, where rivals went for outright power, the 4C was a beautifully-designed light weight package which exemplifies how far simplicity can go. This two-seat sports car uses a feather-light 65kg carbon-fibre tub and weighs just 1035kg overall. Apart from being drop-dead gorgeous, the Centro Stile-design is also ultra-aerodynamic with a drag coefficient Cd of 0.35. Many Italian car designs are referenced in its body work including the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in the rear, the Lancia Stratos in the side profile, and most-notably the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione in the front fascia. The 4C presents the ultimate package incorporating stunning design with a sharp driving experience.
This car is finished in Basalt Grey paint on the outside and specifies a black leather-upholstered interior with red stitching. It lists no aftermarket modifications against its original specification, which includes the Racing Pack which includes sportier suspension and a sports exhaust. A set of staggered 18/19-inch cloverleaf alloy wheels are fitted to this example which are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
Delivered new in April 2016 through Sutton’s Rosebery in Sydney, this one-owner 4C has been fastidiously-maintained through official Alfa Romeo outlets. The car’s owner is an Alfa Romeo fanatic having eight Alfas over the course of 30 years. It has most recently spent time in Hobart where it was serviced at Tasmania Performance Automobiles. The 60,000km and 75,000km services have been carried out based on time and not milage. The timing belt was replaced at its 60,000km service out of preventative maintenance. It was last serviced in February 2022 and the current owner notes everything works fine.
Exterior condition presents very well, reflecting the vehicle’s low kilometres. The Basalt Grey paintwork shows in excellent order with no signs of scratching or swirl marks, while exterior carbon-fibre trim componentry displays as-new. The owner asserts the car has not been in any accidents, though the underside of the front bumper has taken scrape damage due to an uneven driveway. All four wheels show in pristine condition without curb rash, while the Pirelli tyres retain a deep level of tread.
With such limited use, the cabin displays next to no signs of use at all. The leather sports seats show no wear and tear, while carpeting and door trims display no scuff damage whatsoever. The exposed carbon-fibre tub is unscratched and shows in nice glossy condition. No signs of scratching are seen on the dash or the car’s centre console controls, while everything of the digital dash operates as normal.
All original booklets and service manuals will be supplied with this car, as will two sets of keys.
