THE AUCTION IS UNDER PROXY BIDDING
2013 HSV Senator Signature
This 2013 HSV Senator Signature is a two-owner car since new and features a suave, subdued black colour combination. Under the bonnet is a naturally-aspirated 6.2-litre LS3 V8 engine which produces 340kW/570Nm. These outputs are sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. This car currently displays 131,350km on the odometer.
As the long-standing conservative antidote to HSV’s brash Clubsport and GTS models, the Senator Signature features all the luxurious appointments a discerning buyer could want. The understated styling appeals to those who know rather than occasional enthusiasts. Built using the Holden Calais as a donor, the Senator is aimed at mature Australian muscle car traditionalists who prefer the Q-car philosophy of European rivals such as AMG. However, the Senator still packs performance into its DNA and can muster a zero to 100km/h sprint in as little as five seconds. Paired with that drivetrain is neat technology including bi-modal exhaust, Driver Preference Dial, Magnetic Ride Control, and oversized AP Racing brakes. In the years leading up to the Commodore’s demise, HSV threw everything it could at the VF platform and Gen F cars are recognised today as a truly well-polished vehicles on the world stage.
Painted in HSV’s Phantom Black on the exterior and upholstered with black leather and suede upholstery, this murdered-out specification flies under the radar. Importantly, this car has not had any aftermarket modification and carries its as-delivered specification. Standard equipment includes a Bose sound system, track data logger, remote engine start, and auxiliary gauges for oil. The car rides on a set of 20-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in Roadstone tyres.
This HSV was manufactured in Clayton, VIC in October 2013 and delivered new through Watson Holden in Bundoora. It is a two-owner car since new, with the current owner purchasing the vehicle in 2015 and holding it until now. Much of the car’s maintenance has been completed through Watson Holden, plus recent servicing from Kennedy’s Mechanical in Williamstown. The owner states there are no mechanical issues with the car, and it has recently passed a RWC.
On the exterior this HSV displays in excellent condition. The Phantom black paintwork retains good reflections overall, and minimal scratching is seen, though the best could be brought out with a detail. Some signs of road marks and minor stone chipping is seen in areas, consistent with use. The left-side wheels show kerb rash but all others appear without damage. All four tyres retain a deep level of tread.
The cabin shows nicely for its age. Black leather upholstery shows in complete condition with no fraying, however some obvious creasing and sagging is seen on the driver’s side bolster. Very minimal wear and tear is seen on the carpeting. Minor scuffing is observed on the door cards. All gauge functionality, instrumentation, and infotainment features operate as intended.
Original documentation including service log book will be supplied with this car, as will two sets of keys.
