This 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera (991) is a well-optioned example of Porsche’s late-model icon, and presents in a tasteful specification. It is powered by a 3.4-litre flat-six-cylinder engine which outputs 257kW/390Nm to the rear wheels. Matched to this car is a seven-speed double-clutch PDK gearbox. This low-kilometre car currently shows 13,487km on its odometer since new.

Many automotive enthusiasts joke that the Porsche 911 changes only incrementally with each successive generation. The reason for this minor step change is because the iconic sports car is genuinely already so good that only minor tweaks are needed. It’s a go-to for its sharp dynamics, intoxicating exhaust note, and sumptuous cabin quality which makes you feel special on every single drive. The 991-generation car was one of the more serious updates to the long-running model line as it’s built on an all-new platform. The 991 replaced the 997 with enhanced build quality, more interior space, and sleeker looks. It’s the last 911 to ever be naturally aspirated, where each such successive generation has had a turbocharger. This makes it one of the last, in a sense.

Painted in metallic blue on the exterior and featuring a Luxor beige leather interior, this 911 also selects an excellent set of options. These include fully-electric sports seats, Porsche Active Suspension Management, electric sunroof, Bose surround stereo, and a Sport Design steering wheel. The car was optioned with a set of 20-inch Carrera S alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres.

This car was purchased new from Porsche Centre Mayfair in London, UK in May 2012. It was serviced once at Porsche Centre Chiswick West before being placed in storage at renowned facility Windrush Car Storage. It was then imported to Australia in 2019, where it has been used sparingly and was always stored under cover. It has been serviced by Porsche Centre Melbourne, who also updated the car’s navigation system and changed all MPH indicators to KM/H. It is currently due for its next service.

Exterior condition is described as excellent and presents as such in photos. The metallic blue paintwork shines nicely in the light and displays no overt signs of swirl marks or scratching. The vehicle has never been in any kind of accident and the owner notes no resprays or touch-up jobs. Exterior trim and componentry such as grilles, plastics and window trims all present well. The owner notes a small scratch on the passenger side headlight, about 1cm in length. There is minor rim damage to the wheels due to curb rash and parking, though the Pirelli tyres retain a good amount of tread.

The cabin shows in similarly tidy order to the exterior, with clean beige leather presenting in cared-for condition. The factory sports seats look unmarked and retain their original shape, while no signs of wear and tear are seen on the dash, centre console or door trims. There are some spots and scuffs identified on the floor mats, though these are considered commensurate with use.
