2012 Aston Martin DB9

This 2012 Aston Martin DB9 coupe is a gorgeous grand tourer which benefits from an understated, timeless specification. It is powered a naturally-aspirated 5.9-litre V12 engine which sends 351kW/600Nm to the rear wheels. This car is fitted with a six-speed paddle-operated semi-automatic transmission which allows the DB9 to sprint from zero to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds and run on to a 306km/h top speed. The odometer of this car currently displays 31,666km since new.

Coming from a brand that’s famous for some of the most stunning car designs, the DB9 is one of the British marque’s best hits. Designed by Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker, The DB9 made its debut in 2003 and became one of the car maker’s most successful and desirable models. Though designed as a grand tourer, Aston Martin also used the DB9 to go racing in GT categories around the world, most notably in the FIA GT1 category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The DB9 was facelifted in 2013 in order to adopt contemporary styling attributes from the newer Virage model, though early cars such as this example are favoured for the timeless, elegant shape and sumptuous interior.

As one of the final pre-facelift examples, this DB9 Sport Edition is finished in a Onyx Black over Cream leather specification. Options added to this car include a split trim two-tone interior with black Contemporary leather-upholstered dash, premium audio, painted brake calipers, and black contrast stitching. The special 19-inch diamond-finish wheels come in a black and brushed silver combination and are wrapped in Continental ContiSportContact tyres.

This example was built in Gaydon, England and delivered new to Australia in 2012. Its previous two owners have taken utmost care of it since new, reflected in the car’s original condition. All service work has been completed through official Aston Martin service centres. It has recently passed the Aston Martin Timeless certified pre-owned inspection carried out by Aston Martin Melbourne and is eligible for extended warranty until October 2022. No items of concern were raised at the last service in July 2021, with replacement parts including rear discs and pads as well as a map update.

The exterior condition of this Aston Martin is impeccable. Onyx Black metallic paintwork speckles beautifully in the sun and shows next to no signs of swirl marks or imperfections -not an easy feat on black cars. No exterior damage is observed on the car’s body work, which has been well cared for over the course of the last nine years. No signs of curb rash are identified on the four wheels, though the Continental tyres are beginning to show signs of wear.

The cabin of this Aston Martin DB9 matches the immaculate exterior. Very little signs of wear and tear are observed on the cream leather upholstery, while the seats retain their original shape. Notable details on this car include the DB9 insignia on the head rests, DB9 Sport 1 of 60 sill plates, piano black trim and glass switchgear. All these elements show in fine condition. All interior functionality looks and operates as it left the factory.

This car will be sold with accompanying documentation and a RWC will be supplied if sold within the state of Victoria.
