2010 Porsche 911 (997.2) Carrera Cabriolet

This 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet (997.2) is a two-owner car since new with a thorough maintenance history and a recent major service. Under the rear decklid is a 3.6-litre flat-six-cylinder engine which sends 254kW (340hp) to the rear wheels. The transmission in this example is a seven-speed PDK automatic gearbox. It currently shows 71,414km on its odometer.

Being the updated 997 Series II generation 911, this 911 Cabriolet benefits from a range of revisions which see it as a better model overall compared to its predecessor. Changes such as tweaked front and rear styling with new lights, a redesigned exhaust, new engine, and new infotainment system are some of the major highlights. However, Porsche also introduced the PDK gearbox which was a revolutionary development for the time. Its slick-shifting nature, incredible manners, and smooth changes are still well renowned today. It’s these subtle incremental changes which the 911 is so famous for. The 911 was already a fantastic car when it was first introduced in 1963, though small tweaks in intervening years till now see it as, still, one of the most well-rounded sports cars of all time.

Painted in metallic blue on the outside with a black interior, this 911’s subdued specification flies under the radar. The cabriolet soft-top is a black fabric which folds away electrically. There are no aftermarket modifications made to this car and it retains its original as-delivered specification. It rides on a set of original 18-inch Porsche alloy wheels which hide a set of red brake calipers underneath. Tyres fitted to this car are Michelin Pilot Sport 4.

Built new in Stuttgart, Germany in late 2009, this 911 Cabriolet was delivered new through Porsche Centre Sydney in early 2010. The original owner purchased the vehicle as a demo and kept it in Palm Beach, NSW, then sold it two years ago to the current owner in Melbourne. This makes it a two-owner vehicle. All servicing has been completed by official Porsche service centres or specialist independents. The last major service was recently completed at Porsche Brighton. The vehicle runs smoothly, and no items of concern are noted regarding its mechanical condition.

Exterior condition of this 911 Cabriolet is described as very good for the car’s age and mileage. The blue metallic finish presents cleanly overall, only showing some tiny points of stone chipping and scratches on the front bar. It could use a detail to help these areas. A scratch is evident on the passenger side mirror, while more obvious scraping is seen around the left-hand-side of the front bar. All four wheels show no curb rash and the tyres are near-new.

This 911’s interior presents in fine condition with clean unmarked leather and undamaged trim pieces. The sports seats retain a good shape and show minimal sagging or creasing, while the dash and plastics appear without obvious wear and tear. The roof looks to be in good condition and operates as normal.

A full suite of documentation and service history will be supplied with this car, as will two sets of original keys. The number plates currently registered to the vehicle are not included in the sale.
