2010 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS

This 2010 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS is a well-specified example of Maserati’s sports executive sedan and comes with full documentation. Under the bonnet is a naturally-aspirated 4.7-litre V8 Ferrari engine which outputs 324kW (434hp) to the rear wheels. This power is sent through a six-speed automatic gearbox. The odometer currently displays 126,675km.

The fifth-generation Maserati Quattroporte made its debut at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show and was manufactured until 2012. It takes the mantle as the Italian manufacturer’s flagship product offering, blending equal parts performance and luxury into an everyday sports sedan. While early Maserati Quattroportes were admired for their gorgeous Pininfarina styling, the Ferrari-derived 4.2-litre V8 engine wasn’t the most reliable and didn’t exude much character. By the time Maserati introduced a mid-life facelift in 2008 the model featured subtly tweaked, more aggressive styling, and the enlarged 4.7-litre engine of later models was a huge improvement. Not only was it more powerful, the 4.7-litre cars featured an incredibly loud sports exhaust. The Quattroporte Sport GTS was introduced as an even sportier variant and is now widely held as the most desirable model grade of the Quattroporte range.

This car is finished in the subdued combination of grey metallic exterior paint with a black leather-upholstered cabin. In GTS specification the Quattroporte is specified with single-rate sports dampers, lowered ride height, redesigned front grille, shadowline window trim, black exhausts, and Titan Tex trim inlays. This car also specifies a Bose sound system and MC Sportline trim. It rides on a set of 20-inch wheels with Michelin tyres and specifies red brake calipers.

Built new in Italy and delivered new within Australia, this Maserati Quattroporte is offered with a suite of original documentation. Service history is patchy in some areas, though all servicing has been completed by either official Ferrari/Maserati dealerships or through specialist independents. According to service documentation the car has spent the majority of its life in Victoria, but has also spent time in Queensland. The last documented service took place in 2020.

Exterior condition of this Quattroporte shows in good condition from afar. The grey metallic paintwork shows few imperfections throughout and retains a nice shine under the sunlight. Upon closer inspection there are signs of stone chipping on the front bar and significant scrape damage is seen underside the front bumper. Minor chips are seen around the driver’s side door edge, some paint flake is identified on the driver’s mirror arm, and rock chips are seen on the side skirts. All four wheels show kerb rash damage.

The cabin appears in fair condition for the vehicle’s age. There are very few signs of stress marks or wear and tear on the leather upholstery, while carpeting also shows no stains or fraying. This car suffers significantly from the “sticky buttons” phenomenon prevalent in Italian cars. The centre console and infotainment surrounds are scratched and need attention. Titan Tex trim inlays show in good condition. There are fine scratches seen at touch points such as window controls and door handles, while the rear left speaker appears to be dented.
