2010 Aston Martin DB9 - One Owner
This 2010 Aston Martin DB9 is a one-owner, Australian-delivered car which has benefitted from a full Aston Martin service history. It is powered by a 5.9-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine which sends 351kW/600Nm to the rear wheels. This example is fitted with a six-speed paddle-shift automatic gearbox. It currently shows 67,550km on its odometer since new.
British car maker Aston Martin has always been known for its unique designs but none other are quite as jaw-droppingly gorgeous as the DB9. The grand touring 2+2 design was revealed in 2003 to critical acclaim and became one of the brand’s most successful and longest-running nameplates. Its grand touring credentials are second to none, but the DB9 is also an accomplished drive experience dominated by a naturally-aspirated V12 engine. It can sprint from zero to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds and run on to a 306km/h top speed. Aston Martin also used the DB9 to go racing in GT categories around the world, most notably in the FIA GT1 category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The DB9 was facelifted in 2013 but these late model pre-update cars are arguably the sleeker-looking variants.
Presenting in the classic DB9 colour Lightning Silver, this DB9 chooses a subdued and classy specification with black leather upholstery. No obvious modifications take away from the car’s delivery specification, though the car was equipped from new with a Race Exhaust fitted by Aston Martin Melbourne. This car is fitted with clear tail-light lenses as was common for late-model cars. It currently rides on a set of original 19-inch Aston Martin alloy wheels which come wrapped in Ovation tyres.
Built new in Gaydon, England, this Aston Martin was delivered new through Aston Martin Melbourne. It is a one-owner car which has a full Aston Martin Melbourne service history. Its most recent maintenance was completed in March 2022. New coils, spark plugs, and air filter were fitted at this time – suggested replacements after it sat through lockdowns. No other points of concern were mentioned – the owner maintains the vehicle runs smoothly. Tyres are 12 months old while brake discs and pads were replaced at the end of 2021. This DB9 also has the Aston Martin extended warranty until August 22nd which is renewable through an Aston Martin dealership.
The outside presentation of this DB9 shows in very good condition throughout. The Lightning Silver paintwork appears without noticeable scratching or swirl marks and reflects light nicely. Some marks of curb rash are seen on the car’s wheels, though the tyres retain a good amount of tread depth.
More consistent signs of use are seen inside this vehicle’s cabin. The driver’s seat leather shows a considerable amount of wear and tear, while the fabric itself is sagging. Scuffs are seen on the driver’s side door card and on the floor mats. The dashboard appears in fine order and the car’s instrumentation and infotainment systems function as normal. There is a minor chip on the crystal key.
All accompanying documentation including full service booklets and vehicle manuals will be supplied.
