2009 Audi (C6) RS6 Sedan

This 2009 Audi RS6 sedan (B6) is an unassuming performance car which benefits from a clean black colour specification. Under the bonnet is a twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V10 engine which develops 426kW/650Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. The odometer of this vehicle currently displays 117,316km.

Audi unveiled its second-generation RS6 sports sedan in 2007, featuring more power than both the period BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Thanks to its twin-turbocharged V10 powerplant, largely borrowed from subsidiary Lamborghini, the RS6 output an unheard-of amount of power for its period. Drive is routed through a Quattro all-wheel-drive system which enables the sports sedan to sprint from zero to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds, and run on to an unrestricted 274km/h top speed. Combine this amount of performance with its wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing looks and it’s easy to see why the RS6 has a cult following. The RS6 was offered in both wagon and sedan body styles, but it was the sedan which was produced in fewer numbers overall; just 1500 sedans compared to the 6500 wagons. This makes the RS6 sedan a rare sighting on the road and on the open marketplace.

This car’s specification selects a subdued black finish for the outside and features a black leather interior. The owner has leaned into this black-on-black colour scheme by blacking-out the front grille and tinting the windows to the darkest legal tint. No other obvious aftermarket modifications are listed alongside this car. Exterior highlights include the classic Audi Sport silver accenting on the mirrors, while other standard equipment includes a Bose sound system, adaptive dampers, sunroof, heated seats, and rear sun blind. This car rides on original 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels wrapped in Continental ContiSport Contact tyres.

This vehicle was built in October 2008 and delivered new to Australia in June 2009. The current owner purchased the vehicle 12 months ago and has recently had it serviced at Audi Burwood. Of note was an oil leak which the current owner elected not to fix considering this car’s lack of use. All other servicing has been completed by official Audi centres and independent mechanics such as Pecky’s Performance in Northern Territory.

Exterior condition of this RS6 has fared well over 117,316km. The black paintwork shows without major faults or damage, though certain points of swirl marking can be seen on areas such as the doors. It appears to have lost of its original shine, suggesting a detail is in order.  Some minor chips and stone marks are seen on the front splitter, while the car’s front tow hook cover is missing. The owner notes the rear driver’s door has been resprayed due to a minor ding. All four wheels show without curb damage and the tyres appear with a good amount of tread.

Condition inside this RS6 is fair for its age, though signs of leather creasing and wear is observed. The driver’s seat bolsters are slightly deformed, however carpeting and plastics appear largely unharmed. Some paint is flaking off on the buttons on the centre console, while the headlining is seen to be sagging in the second row.

All accompanying documentation and receipts will be supplied with this car.
