2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster

This 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster is a clean-presented example of a stunning Aston Martin design and is the desirable 2008 update model. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.7-litre V8 engine which sends 313kW/470Nm to the rear wheels. This car is fitted with the six-speed Sportshift automated manual transmission. It currently shows 77,721km on its odometer.

With design by the talented Henrik Fisker, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage is one of the marque’s most iconic silhouettes of the last quarter century. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was revealed to public in 2005 and achieved considerable acclaim for its nimble body and raucous V8 soundtrack. It was designed to go up against the Porsche 911 of its time, offering arguably more style and brand cache than the popular 911. It was 2008 when Aston Martin applied a significant update to the V8 Vantage, adding more displacement to the V8 engine, subtly revised the styling, enhanced the operation of the transmission, and added stiffer Bilstein dampers. Following the updates the V8 Vantage was able to run from zero to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and achieve a 290km/h top speed.

Finished in Onyx Black with an Obsidian Black nappa leather-upholstered interior, this V8 Vantage also sports red accents both inside and out. These striking stylistic additions see red grille surrounds added to the front and rear bars, red side mirrors, and red leather accenting inside the cabin. Few aftermarket modifications are added to this car’s original as-delivered specification, though the cabin was re-upholstered in 2017 with added Aston Martin headrest logos. The car sits on a set of 19-inch Aston Martin alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.

This car was hand-built in England in early 2008 and complied in Australia in July 2008. It was delivered new through Barbagallo Aston Martin in Perth, WA. It is now a four-owner car which has always been serviced at Aston Martin dealerships. The current owner had the interior re-trimmed by Blackmans Leather in VIC in 2017. According to the owner all fluids and filters have just been replaced. It has also recently had its clutch replaced along with a major service.

The exterior presentation of this V8 Vantage is excellent. The metallic flake in the Onyx Black paintwork shines beautifully and no obvious signs of scratching or swirl marking are seen. The black soft-top roof also appears without any damage or obvious wear. According to the owner the door latches display some surface rust. Some minor curb rash can be seen to one of the wheels; the wheels do present cleanly otherwise. Michelin tyres show a good amount of tread remaining.

Inside the cabin presents immaculately. Courtesy of a recent retrim, the black leather shows without significant wear or damage. The piano black inlays and leather-covered dash also appear to be in good order. Minor scuffing is observed on the car’s side sills, as expected with consistent use. The carpeting shows without obvious staining or wear damage, though the driver’s foot pad is obviously marked with use.

This car will come with all original books, two sets of keys, and a bespoke Aston Martin pen.
