2007 BMW (E92) M3 - Manual

This 2007 BMW M3 (E92) Coupe features a desirable Silverstone colour combination and has been owned by just two people since new. Under the bonnet is a 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine which sends 309kW/400Nm to the rear wheels. This car is fitted with the rarer six-speed manual transmission. It currently shows 74,200km on its odometer.

Born out of motorsport success, BMW’s M3 is one of the most recognisable sports car nameplates in the world and epitomises the brand’s “Ultimate Driving Machine” tagline. Tracing its origins back to the late 1980s, this E92 M3 combines equal parts luxuriousness and sporting intent into a perfectly-proportioned coupe body. It is the last M3 to feature a naturally-aspirated engine – a 4.0-litre V8 no less. This engine can propel the E92 M3 from zero to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds. While the M3 made waves for its revolutionary dual-clutch transmission, manual examples are still some of the most desirable on the used car market. The M3 competes directly against the Audi RS4 and Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG but was the only car of the trio to come in a coupe body style. Its pointed handling profile and sonorous N/A V8 engine saw it score better against its rivals in-period, according to motoring media.

Painted in Silverstone metallic with a light grey interior, this M3’s colour profile is arguably desirable against a regular silver palette. A series of subtle visual mods lift this car’s character including black badging, a carbon-fibre rear diffuser, M stripes in grille, carbon-wrap steering wheel, aluminium pedals, and aftermarket gear shifter. The car has been lowered slightly on Eibach springs. A set of 19-inch M3 wheels are installed on the car, shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tyres.

Built new in June 2007 and delivered new through BMW Sydney in December 2007, this M3 has enjoyed official BMW and specialist independent servicing throughout its life. It is a two owner vehicle, with the seller having owned the car since 2012. The last service was completed at 67,000km by 3D Auto in Paramatta, NSW. The seller mentions the vehicle is in A1 mechanical condition.

Exterior condition of this M3 is in great order with next to no scratches seen on its body work. The Silverstone metallic paint displays no overt swirl marks and reflects nicely in the light. There are a few stone chips on the bonnet and the seller notes a single mark on the driver’s side rear quarter panel. All four wheels display in great condition with no curb rash while the Michelin tyres retain a decent level of tread. Carbon-fibre exterior accenting appears to be in nice condition.

The interior has been well-kept and displays few signs of wear and tear. The Silverstone matching extended leather upholstery is seen without obvious marking or tears, and the seats appear to have held shape well with time. Some very minor discolouration can be identified on the driver’s bolster, while some material wear is seen on the seat back.

This car will be sold with some spare badging and a suite of original documentation.
