THE AUCTION IS UNDER PROXY BIDDING
2007 Audi (B7) RS4 Avant
This 2007 Audi (B7) RS4 Avant is a well-presented example of Audi’s high-performance wagon, complete in a tidy specification featuring the desirable Recaro sports seats. Under the bonnet is a naturally-aspirated 4.2-litre V8 engine which sends 309kW/430Nm to a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. It features a six-speed manual transmission and can run from zero to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds. This example currently shows 144,863km on its odometer since new.
Audi has a strong reputation for building high-performance wagons and the B7 RS4 is a highlight. Sharing an engine with the first-generation R8 supercar, the B7 RS4 was the last RS wagon to be fitted with a manual transmission. Where rivals of the era continued with rear-wheel drivetrains, Audi’s Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system ensures traction in all types of weather. The B7-generation RS4 was available in sedan, convertible, and wagon body styles, but the latter has become the most desirable of the three. The B7 RS4 is recognised the world over by various publications, even taking out the performance category for World Car of the Year in 2007.
Finished in the smart combination of Daytona Grey over a black leather interior, this car also sports classic Audi hallmarks such as silver mirrors and carbon-fibre trimming. It also benefits from being optioned with the black package which also removes all external model badging. The 19-inch silver alloy wheels are wrapped in a set of Continental tyres. It is also fitted with the desirable option-up “wingbacks” Recaro seats, alloy sports pedals, Bose sound system, Audi Navigation Plus infotainment system, dual-zone climate control and a push-button start. The car presents in stock appearance, though is fitted with a Supersprint exhaust system.
This vehicle is understood to have had two owners throughout its life, with the previous custodian having owned since 2011, and the current owner since mid-2021. It has just had its large 150,000km service early at Bip’s Auto Service in Pascoe Vale, VIC. All Dynamic Ride Control suspension components were replaced at Audi Sydney less than 1500km ago, and this car has completed all required recalls at Audi dealerships. The car has been in storage for the best part of a year.
The exterior condition of this RS4 Avant presents well, with Daytona Grey paintwork still retaining a nice level of shine and no overt signs of damage. Minor paint imperfections and cracking is seen on the rear bumper, while paint has scratched off on the underside of the front bar and the lower valance has deformed. Exterior trim shows in decent condition. All four alloy wheels present in good condition with no sign of curb rash, while the Continental tyres retain a good amount of tread.
Interior-wise this car shows in complete condition, if presenting a little tired. There is no obvious damage to the leather upholstery, though there are crease marks to both rows of seating and consistent wear is observed. Slight yellowing is seen on the carbon-fibre inlays, which is common to the RS4. Other trim such as the plastics of the centre console controls have worn with repeated use.
All accompanying documentation and two sets of keys will be supplied with this car.
