2006 Maserati Gransport LE

This 2006 Maserati GranSport LE is a rare and low-mileage example of an exciting Italian GT, presented in a handsome factory colour scheme. It is powered by the F136 RB 4.2-litre V8 engine built by Ferrari, producing 395bhp that is driven through a six-speed Cambiocorsa automated-manual transmission with paddle shifters. The odometer shows just 29,498 kilometres from new.

Unveiled at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show, Maserati showcased the sportier version of the Maserati Coupe. It featured improved aerodynamics, Skyhook active suspension, engine and transmission upgrades along with a sportier interior. Only the six-speed Cambiocorsa paddle shift transmission was offered, and was recalibrated for quicker shifts along with an exhaust upgrade that equipped it with bypass valves that allowed for a sportier note on start up and full throttle. The LE (Limited Edition) variant was offered from 2006 and added a suite of additional options such as: red brake callipers with 19” Trefeo alloy wheels, full leather electric heated seats with memory, upgraded audio, HID Xenon headlights along with other cosmetic items.

Originally delivered new by the Maserati concessionaire for Hong Kong, Auto Italia, this is one of only 300 RHD examples ever produced and one of only 30 to be produced in LE specification. This vehicle has since passed through two previous owners with the previous owner purchasing it from CK Motors whilst working in HK himself after it had been traded on another Maserati. This owner then imported it themselves upon moving back to Australia and subsequently sold it to its current owner.

The vehicle has had a combination of factory and Maserati specialists work on the vehicle over its life with an extensive folder of receipts to accompany the sale. The seller notes that it has had a new clutch fitted and the commonly known items such as sticky buttons and abs controller have also been attended to. The last service was completed at 24,365 kilometres in 2018. The last road worthy was done in July 2020 to transfer to Victorian registration at 28,383km. This Gransport is offered in original condition with the exception of upgraded speakers.

The exterior of the vehicle is finished in Grigio Touring with the distinctive LE edition 19” Trofeo alloy wheels finished in grigio mercury. These are paired with the red brake callipers, also part of the LE edition. The seller notes that there is some minor marks to the paint work consummate with age and use but overall the condition is described as good. There are also marks to the alloy wheels.

Inside, this GranSport is trimmed in black leather throughout, including for the hard-backed Sport seats, door cards, dashboard, and even the headlining. All of the upholstery remains in great shape, with wear showing on the bolsters and bases, commensurate with the mileage. The seller notes the headliner is starting to come away and needs attention. The steering wheel, dashboard panel and centre console are finished with carbon-fibre trim, and while all of the switchgear works as it should.

Accompanying the car is a replacement owners handbook and service book which are contained in a blue leather wallet. There are also comprehensive receipts and documentation to confirm the mileage and service history along with the tool kit and one key.
